Themed birthday parties are the go-to way to celebrate for many of us around Australia, whether everyone dresses in costume or we simply want to create an atmosphere with our decor and playlist! To help make these celebrations truly special, we’ve researched the most popular party themes so we can create invitations to match.

This design challenge is a little different than usual: just pick 1 or 2 party themes from the list and create two birthday invitation designs to match, following the guidelines provided in our designer kit. Get creative and have fun! 

Entries close: 22/10/2018

Challenge guidelines 

- Work off templates found in the designer kit

- Do not include foil over the image

- Save files as high quality JPEGs for submission

- 2 x  Birthday Invitations using one theme

Or, 

- 2 x Birthday invitations using two themes

How to enter;

- Download the designer kit and follow it’s instructions

- Submit your designs through the design challenge page

- You will be notified when voting opens

- Support other creatives by voting on their designs

Judging Criteria: 

The winners and runners up are a mixture of public voting and the Paperlust judging team. The top five public voted designs will be assessed by the Paperlust creative and design team on the criteria of design quality, response to brief, technical considerations and saleability.

 The Winners receive:

- 1st place will receive 12% commission on every sale for an entire year and professional photography of their designs

- 2nd & 3rd places will receive 10% commission on every sale for an entire year 

- Runner up designs (if selected) will be listed on Paperlust for sale as featured designs (receiving 6% commission on every sale)
