Paperlust collaborates with One Tree Planted to support reforestation

Paperlust is proud to partner with One Tree Planted to promote sustainability through a term known as 'reforestation'. We are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint and give back.

What better way to do it than giving the world more trees? And this is made possible by your orders with us.

As a company, Paperlust is committed to finding better ways to deliver the world's best stationery products and promoting mindfulness in the stationery and events industry at the same time. We believe in giving our customers the best today while setting us up for success tomorrow. Paperlust sources its paper sustainably, using FSC certified or FSC Mix Sources certified paper stocks.

However not all in our industry are as conscious with the global pulp and paper industry one of the four main drivers of deforestation worldwide. As such, Paperlust not only wants to ensure we do the right thing with our sourcing of paper, but also contribute back via our reforestation program.

One Tree Planted is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to restore forest areas destroyed by fire as well as various industries like palm oil. They accept both one time and recurring donation. For just $1, a tree can be planted.

For every purchase you make, Paperlust donates money to One Tree Planted. One Tree Planted and their partners then grow tree saplings and plant them in the rainy season in the Kalimantan region in Borneo, Indonesia. They not only water and maintain those trees but report on the impact. The trees we are planting are restoring areas around Tanjung Puting National Park. in 2015 rampant fires burnt and destroyed more than 30,000 hectares of its forest.

Every three months we tally our orders and donate that amount of money (one dollar per order) to the planting of the trees. Once the donation is complete, customers who have placed their order within the last 3 months will receive an email celebrating their contribution.

For those that want to go the extra mile, you can also donate directly and have your own tree(s) planted (or ones for each member of your family).

We all know that trees are great, but here's a quick reminder of why:

Trees take in harmful pollutants and release clean oxygen.

Trees filter water, prevent floods, and maintain Earth's water cycles.

Forests provide habitat to many animals, birds, insects, fungi, moss, and plants.

Social Impact

Trees provide jobs and food security to many communities.

Trees and nature reduce stress, aid in recovery, and promote overall wellness.

Trees absorb carbon dioxide and other pollutants, helping to clean air and regulate climate.

Planting trees just one of the ways we give back.

Recyclable invitations

All of Paperlust’s paper invitations and cards are 100% recyclable and can be turned into new paper products just be putting them into your kerbside recycling bin. This includes our real foil range of invitations as the layer of material is so thin it dissipates within the re-pulping process.

Accredited sources

All of our digital stocks are Acid Free, Elemental Chlorine Free and are sourced sustainably and accredited by Sustainable Forest Product TM. All of our specialty print paper is sustainably sourced and where possible certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

Recyclable packaging

All of our packaging is recyclable including our Geami Ranpak packaging paper which is also a 100% recycled product. Replacing plastic bubble wrap, this die cut kraft paper expands into a 3D honeycomb when stretched out to create adequate padding for our orders, without using plastic.

Paperlust is excited to have you join us in supporting the creation of jobs, education about conservation and long-term income for underprivileged communities. Thank you for ordering with Paperlust - where your purchase makes a difference.
