  • SUSTAINABILITY

Paperlust is committed to finding better ways to deliver the world's best stationery products whilst also improving environmental sustainability.
Here are some of the projects we've done to give back to the environment

    CLOSE THE LOOP

All Toner cartridges, waste toner and Ink waste are sent to Close the loop who had a take-back, recovery and reuse program

    TAKE BACK

Close the Loop provides product take back and end of life collection across the globe with a steadfast commitment to zero waste to landfill.

    RECOVERY

Close the Loop's proprietary technologies and recovery processes, separates materials to a new usable form. And at the end of the process all material is recovered and put back into the commodities market.

    REUSE

Close the Loop understands the best form of recycle is first reuse. Their processes include being able to recover toner cases and provide the received product or products back into the supply chain

    NEW LIFE PRODUCTS FROM
    THE CLOSE THE LOOP PROGRAM

    TONER PLAS

Additive which enhances the characteristics of asphalt to produce high-quality road surface that last 65% longer than traditional asphalt that contributes a major solution to the waste issue of soft plastics.

    PENS

Enviroliner is an advanced felt tip pet that uses post-consumer recycled ink from end of life ink cartridges. The plastic housing of these pets are also made from PCR plastic sourced from waste inkjet cartridges.
The pen can always be recycled over and over again by placing it in a printer recycling box.

    RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

Paperlust uses Geami Kraft Wrap as protective packaging as it's recyclable, biodegradable and compostable, it can be disposed of into the Earth and does not create toxicological hazard.
Replacing plastic bubble wrap, this die cut kraft paper expands into a 3D honeycomb when stretched to cut to create adequate padding for our orders, without using plastic.

Paperlust uses biodegradable tape means you do not need to recycle it.
Just throw it in the rubbish, in due course when exposed to heat, pressure, UV's, moisture, nature will do the rest & break this tape down.

Most orders will be delivered using high quality 100% recyclable kraft boxes to reduce waste consumption.

    PAPER

All of our digital stocks are Acid Free, Elemental Chlorine Free and are sourced sustainably, accredited by Sustainable Forest Product TM
and where possible certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

    Renewable powered production

The Paperlust factory has solar panels on the roof to power the machines we use.

All of Paperlust’s paper invitations and cards are 100% recyclable and can be turned into new paper products just by putting them into your kerbside recycling bin.

The foil on our real foil range of invitations can also be recycled as the layer of material is so thin it dissipates within the re-pulping process.

Paperlust uses Premier Waste management who recycle all our paper scraps and off cuts.

Toners and Inks used by Paperlust printers and partners are non toxic, non carcinogenic, non toxic to reproduction, and non corrosive.

The paper mills that Paperlust sources from are highly efficient in water usage and over 91% of water abstracted is returned to the catchment.

All our invitations are produced on a made-to-order basis which means minimal stock, minimal offcuts which means as little waste as possible.

The paper industry is the biggest, single industrial user and producer of renewable energy.

Paper can be recycled up to eight times. Once the paper has been recycled as many times as possible, it is turned into organic waste and breaks down.

    CARBON OFFSET

A carbon offset is a reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases made in order to compensate for emissions made elsewhere.

Paperlust contributes towards DHL’s Carbon offset cost with every package that is shipped internationally. DHL invest in climate protection projects in different regions and contribute support a mix of projects of different types such as energy efficiency, water supply or renewable energies

    ONE TREE PLANTED PROGRAM

Paperlust is proud to partner with One Tree Planted to promote sustainability through a term known as 'reforestation'. We are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint and give back.

    POWERED BY SOLAR

Solar panels have emerged as a popular renewable energy source in the past few years and their proliferation on both commercial and residential properties is showing that they've moved in increasingly into the mainstream.

Their environmental impacts of the consumption of fossil fuels are very much front and center in the news these days and a turn to renewable sources of powers is very much necessary.

Here at Paperlust, we are proud to have solar panels on the roof of our print and production office to power all the machines we use to create your beautiful stationery.
