Clara met Rich in 2008, when she was moving into a share house with some of his old college mates. He was there the day she moved in, and sparks flew between them from that first meeting in the hallway. Clara describes it as “love at first sight”, as she admired his charming blue eyes and big smile. Just one year later, they knew they were each other’s ‘The One’.
Their two-year engagement was an exciting time. Clara’s advice to others planning their weddings? “Have fun with it and don’t stress too much…It will always be the most amazing day of your life.”
The wedding was an intimate family affair on the Bellarine Peninsula, and was heavily influenced by Clara’s rich Colombian background. The day was “a passion-filled fiesta”, says Clara. There were so many ‘favourite moments’ that it is impossible to choose just one.
That passion is captured perfectly in Tony’s photos of the day. “He’s all about the vibe of the wedding and capturing the moment,” says Clara. “We were very lucky to have Tony as our wedding photographer. He has such talent and energy, and was such a fun and friendly person to have at the wedding.” She speaks of his “laid-back charm” coupled with his organisation and precision. He was able to capture not only stunning photos of the bride and groom, but lots of photos of the guests that allowed the couple to see all the little moments they missed on the day.
Tony describes Clara and Ricky as “an amazing couple to work with”, their love so evident that it was impossible to miss in the photos. It was a pleasure to work with the pair, as well as the beautiful details: the Jack Rabbit Winery with the sun setting over the bay.
Tony recommends creating a Paperlust photo thank you card, to share your special photo from the day with guests.
