Canva is a brilliant design tool. The print options it gives you are good for some weddings, and not built for others. The honest version of this guide is that where you print your Canva design matters more than how you export it.

If you’ve finished a Canva invitation and you’re trying to figure out how to actually get it onto paper, this is the decision tree.

TL;DR

Canva exports your design two practical ways in Australia: Canva Print (mailed) and Officeworks pickup. Both are digital print on a narrow stock list. Neither does letterpress, real foil stamping, die cutting, embossing, vellum overlays, or specialty stocks like cotton or coloured cardstock.

If your invitation is digital-flat by design (photographic, gradient-heavy, casual styling) Canva + Officeworks will be fine. If you’ve designed something you expect to feel premium when guests pull it from the envelope, you’ll need to take the file to a specialty printer instead.

Paperlust accepts your finished Canva PDF and can print it with letterpress, foil, die cut, emboss, vellum, or any cotton or coloured stock: same file, different press.

How Canva’s Print Path Actually Works

Canva isn’t a printer. It’s a design surface that hands your file to one of two fulfilment partners.

Option 1: Canva Print (mail order)

Inside Canva, you can hit “Print with Canva” and place an order directly. The file is sent to a Canva-managed print partner, printed digitally, and posted to you. Turnaround is typically 4–7 business days, plus shipping. Stock options are limited to a handful of standard cardstocks: matte, satin, recycled, and a thicker premium card.

Option 2: Officeworks pickup (Australia only)

If you’re in Australia, Canva also integrates with Officeworks. You design in Canva, click “Print with Officeworks”, choose a store, and pick up your printed invitations the next day in most cases. Same digital print process. Stock list is similar: standard digital cardstocks, finished flat.

Both routes share the same fundamental constraint: digital print, standard stocks, no specialty finishing. That’s the whole technical envelope. Everything below is about deciding whether that envelope fits your wedding or not.

Should you print your Canva design via Officeworks, or upgrade to specialty print?

Stay with Canva + Officeworks if:

  • You’re printing save the dates, info cards, or casual invitations where digital flatness reads fine
  • Your design is photographic or gradient-heavy (digital handles those well)
  • Budget is the dominant constraint and the wedding leans relaxed or modern-minimal
  • You need it fast (next-day Officeworks pickup) and quantity is under 100
  • You’re happy with white, ivory, kraft, or basic recycled stock

Upgrade to specialty print if:

  • You want metallic foil that catches light when guests turn the card (laminated metallic ink isn’t the same)
  • You’ve designed something formal, traditional, or luxury (the texture has to match)
  • You want a die-cut shape (arch, scallop, oval, hexagon) instead of a rectangle
  • You want guests to feel the impression of letterpress or the raised relief of an emboss
  • You want a vellum overlay, a coloured cotton stock, or any pocket suite
  • You want one cohesive suite with matching RSVP, details card, and envelope liner

What Canva + Officeworks Can Print (And What It Can’t)

Below is the honest capability matrix for a Canva-designed wedding invitation, comparing the standard Canva/Officeworks digital pipeline against a specialty printer like Paperlust that accepts your same Canva PDF.

Capability Canva Print / Officeworks Paperlust (same Canva file)
Standard digital printYesYes
Real foil stamping (gold, rose gold, silver, copper)NoYes

The pattern is consistent: the Canva pipeline does one print method (digital) on a small set of standard stocks. Specialty printers exist because there are six other techniques and dozens of stocks the digital pipeline can’t physically produce.

Wedding invitation suite professionally printed from a custom digital design

Specialty Techniques the Canva Pipeline Doesn’t Offer

If you’ve ever held a wedding invitation that felt different from a postcard, this is why. None of these techniques run through Canva Print or Officeworks because they require a dedicated press, custom plates, or finishing equipment that isn’t in the digital workflow.

Letterpress

A traditional press pushes inked metal plates into thick cotton stock, leaving a tactile impression you can run a fingertip across. Canva can mimic the look with shadows on screen, but the impression itself only happens on a real letterpress. It’s the dominant choice for formal, traditional, and luxury invitations.

Canva, even at maximum DPI, renders flat. Letterpress is dimensional. Browse letterpress wedding invitations to see the depth in person via a sample pack.

Foil stamping (the real kind)

Real foil stamping uses heat and pressure to bond metallic foil to paper. It catches light, shifts as the card moves, and reads as genuinely metallic at any angle. Canva and Officeworks can print a metallic-look ink (flat pigment with a sheen, not actual foil) but they cannot apply foil stamp.

This is the most-misunderstood gap in the Canva pipeline. Couples often expect the gold lines they designed in Canva to print as foil. They print as gold-coloured ink. See the difference on real foil-stamped invitations.

Die cutting

If your invitation isn’t a rectangle, arch, scallop, hexagon, oval, custom contour, it has been die cut. A custom blade is shaped, mounted, and pressed through the stock. Officeworks doesn’t run die cutting; their finishing equipment cuts straight rectangles. Specialty printers maintain a library of standard dies (arch, scallop, oval, circle, hexagon) and can cut custom shapes with a setup fee.

Browse die-cut wedding invitations for the standard shape library.

Embossing & debossing

Two metal dies (a male and female) press the stock between them, creating either raised relief (emboss) or sunken impression (deboss) without ink. It’s how monograms, crests, and motifs read formal even on a plain card. Canva can render an outlined logo, but only an embossing press can give it dimension.

Vellum overlays

A semi-translucent sheet of vellum sits on top of (or wraps around) the printed invitation, often printed itself with names, dates, or florals. The two layers together (cotton base plus vellum overlay) produce a softness Canva can’t replicate. Specialty printers handle the registration, the binding (wax seal, brad, ribbon, glue), and the assembly.

Specialty stocks: cotton, coloured cardstock, handmade

Officeworks and Canva Print stock options run through standard digital papers: matte, satin, basic recycled, and a thicker “premium” white. They don’t offer:

  • Cotton, the soft, fibrous stock letterpress and embossing need to take an impression cleanly
  • Coloured cardstock: sage, navy, blush, charcoal, terracotta, mocha (anything beyond white/ivory/kraft)
  • Handmade and deckle-edge papers: visible fibres, raw torn edges, artisan textures
  • Heavy double-thick stocks, 600–800gsm laminated cards that read luxury at first touch

The stock often matters more to the final feel than the design itself. A simple typographic invitation on heavy cotton outclasses an ornate Canva design on 200gsm digital matte every time.

When Canva + Officeworks Is the Right Call

This isn’t a knock on Canva. It’s a brilliant tool used badly when couples expect digital print to deliver specialty results. Used well, the Canva + Officeworks path is the cheapest, fastest way to print a perfectly good invitation.

It’s the right call when:

  • The wedding leans casual or modern-minimal: backyard ceremonies, beach weddings, courthouse plus dinner. Digital flatness reads consistent with the vibe.
  • You’re printing save the dates, not the main invite. Save the dates are typically 6–9 months ahead and lower-stakes than the formal invitation. Many couples use Canva + Officeworks for save the dates and specialty print for the main suite.
  • You want a physical store pickup option. Officeworks gives you next-day in-store pickup in most Australian cities, which suits couples who prefer to walk in rather than wait on shipping.
  • Your design is photographic or gradient-heavy. Digital print handles photos and gradients well. Letterpress and foil can’t reproduce a photograph, they’re solid-colour techniques.
  • Budget is the binding constraint. Canva + Officeworks runs roughly AUD $1.50–$3.50 per invitation depending on stock. Specialty starts higher.

When You Should Upgrade to Specialty Print

The clearest signals you’ve outgrown the Canva + Officeworks pipeline:

  • You want guests to feel something tactile. Letterpress impression, embossed monogram, raised foil. If “feel” is part of the brief, specialty print is the only path.
  • You’re designing for a formal or luxury wedding. Digital flatness undermines a black-tie or estate-wedding aesthetic. Texture cues formality.
  • You want a custom shape, not a rectangle. Arch, scallop, oval, contour-cut crest: specialty only.
  • You want a coordinated suite. Matching RSVP, details card, menu, place cards, programs, signage. One printer, one stock palette, one set of fonts kept in sync. Officeworks treats every piece as a separate one-off.
  • Your stock palette includes coloured cardstock. Sage, terracotta, navy, blush, charcoal. If it’s not white, ivory, or kraft, it’s not in the Canva pipeline.
  • You want a vellum overlay, pocket fold, or wax seal. Assembly and finishing happen at specialty printers, not photocopy shops.

Bringing Your Canva Design to Specialty Print

Good news: you don’t have to rebuild your design. Most specialty printers (including Paperlust) accept the same PDF you’d send to Canva Print or Officeworks. The workflow is one extra step.

Step 1: Finalise your design in Canva

Embed fonts, double-check spelling on names/dates/venue, and make sure key text sits inside the safe margin (about 4mm in from the trim edge). If your design has a background colour or pattern, extend it past the trim line by 3–5mm so there’s bleed.

Step 2: Export as PDF Print with bleed and crop marks

In Canva, go to Share > Download > PDF Print. If the option is offered, tick Bleed & crop marks. PDF Print exports at 300 DPI: the standard for clean print results. Don’t use PDF Standard (lower DPI) or PNG.

Step 3: Choose your print method first, then upload

This is the step the Canva pipeline doesn’t ask you to make. Before you upload anywhere, decide: digital, letterpress, foil, die cut, embossed? The print method drives stock choice and pricing. Paperlust’s print-my-own-design page walks you through the options.

Step 4: Submit the file and review the proof

Upload your PDF. Specialty printers run a designer-check on every file, flagging low-resolution images, font embedding issues, bleed problems, or registration risks for foil and letterpress. You’ll get a designer-confirmed digital proof within 1–2 business days.

Step 5: Approve and print

Once approved, the file goes to press. Paperlust runs 24-hour express turnaround on digital print, and standard production ships within a few business days. Letterpress, foil, die cutting, and embossing add plate-making and finishing time on top, so book those orders with a few extra days of lead time.

Pricing Reality Check

The cost gap between Canva + Officeworks and specialty print isn’t margin, it’s technique. Knowing the rough numbers helps you decide whether the upgrade is worth it for your invite count.

Print method Indicative per-card cost (qty 80) What’s driving the price
Canva Print / Officeworks digital, standard stock~AUD $1.50–$2.50Commodity digital press, basic stock
Canva / Officeworks, premium stock~AUD $2.50–$3.50Heavier card, same digital press
Specialty digital on cotton or coloured stock~AUD $3.50–$5.50Specialty stock, designer file check
Letterpress, single colour, cotton~AUD $5.50–$8.50Plate-making + dedicated press
Foil stamped, single foil~AUD $5.00–$8.00Foil dies, heat press, finishing
Letterpress + foil + die cut combo~AUD $9.00–$14.00Three setups, multiple press passes

For 80 guests, the difference between Canva + Officeworks digital and a letterpress-and-foil specialty suite is roughly AUD $250–$700. For weddings averaging $40,000+, that’s a 0.6–1.7% line item that defines the first impression of the entire event.

If your wedding leans more casual or you’re working a tighter total, the digital pipeline gets you a perfectly good result. The honest test: would you be embarrassed by the invitations sitting next to your ceremony stationery and signage? If the suite needs to look cohesive across rooms, it’s a specialty job.

Common Mistakes Couples Make Going from Canva to Print

  • Designing in RGB and expecting CMYK to match exactly. Screen colour (RGB) has a wider range than print colour (CMYK). Reds drift orange, navies drift purple, ivories print flat white. A specialty printer’s proof shows you the conversion before commit. Officeworks doesn’t proof, so you find out when you pick up.
  • Forgetting bleed. If your design ends exactly at the trim line, any cutting drift leaves a thin white edge. Always extend backgrounds 3–5mm past the trim.
  • Using low-resolution images. Canva preview is on-screen; print needs 300 DPI. Stretched stock photos and small graphics blow up pixelated. Replace anything below 1500px on the long side before exporting.
  • Choosing PDF Standard instead of PDF Print. PDF Standard is lower-resolution and stripped for web sharing. PDF Print preserves print-quality DPI and embeds fonts correctly.
  • Designing for a square or rectangle when you actually want a die cut. If you have any chance of going die cut, design with a wider safe margin from the start. Specialty printers can advise on shape templates before you finalise.
  • Treating the invitation as a one-off and the rest of the suite as separate. RSVP, details, menu, place cards, signage, table numbers. If they don’t share stock and finish, the whole suite reads inconsistent.

What to Do With Your Canva Save the Date vs Your Main Invitation

A common pattern that works well: print save the dates digitally (Canva Print or Officeworks) and reserve specialty for the main invitation suite.

  • Save the dates are sent 6–9 months out, mostly to confirm the date. Lower stakes, often photographic, casual styling. Digital print handles them well. Browse save the date designs.
  • Main invitations arrive 8–10 weeks before the wedding and set the tone. This is where letterpress, foil, die cut, and specialty stocks earn their cost. Browse wedding invitation designs.
  • RSVP, details, menu, place cards. Once you’ve committed to specialty for the main invite, keeping the suite consistent matters more than saving on each piece. Browse RSVP cards.

This split lets you keep the budget honest where it doesn’t matter and spend it where guests actually pick the card up and look at it twice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Canva Print or Officeworks print real foil on my wedding invitation?

No. Both services run digital print only. They can render a metallic-look ink (a flat pigment with a slight sheen) but cannot apply real foil stamping. Real foil requires a foil stamping press, which is a specialty technique.

Does Officeworks do letterpress?

No. Officeworks runs digital print and basic finishing (cutting, folding, laminating). Letterpress requires a dedicated press with custom plates, available only through specialty printers like Paperlust.

Can I get a die-cut shape (arch, scallop, oval) from Canva or Officeworks?

No. Both pipelines cut to standard rectangles or rounded-corner rectangles. Custom shapes require die cutting, which uses a custom blade pressed through the stock. Specialty printers maintain standard die libraries (arch, scallop, oval, hexagon, circle) and can cut custom shapes with a setup fee.

What’s the cheapest way to print Canva wedding invitations in Australia?

Officeworks pickup is typically the cheapest, around AUD $1.50–$2.50 per invitation on standard digital stock for quantities of 50–100. Canva Print is comparable but adds postage. For genuinely budget-tight weddings, Officeworks is the practical choice.

Will my Canva colours look the same when printed?

Close, but not identical. Canva designs in RGB; printers output in CMYK. Saturated reds and bright navies shift slightly. Specialty printers send a colour-accurate digital proof before commit, so you can adjust. Officeworks doesn’t proof, so you’ll see the result at pickup.

Can I print my Canva design on cotton or coloured cardstock?

Not through Canva Print or Officeworks. Their stock list runs to standard digital papers. To print a Canva file on cotton, sage, navy, blush, charcoal, or any specialty stock, upload your PDF to a specialty printer that offers those stocks. Paperlust accepts the same Canva PDF and prints across the full stock range.

Do I need to redesign my Canva file for specialty print?

Usually no. Export as PDF Print with bleed and crop marks, and most specialty printers run a designer file-check before plates are made. They’ll flag font embedding issues, low-resolution images, or registration risks (mainly for foil and letterpress) and request fixes if needed. The design itself stays as you built it.

How long does specialty print take compared to Officeworks pickup?

Officeworks is typically next-day in-store pickup. Canva Print is 4–7 business days, mailed. Paperlust offers 24-hour express on digital print and ships standard within a few business days; letterpress, foil, die cut, and embossed orders take additional time for plate-making and finishing. If your wedding is more than 10 weeks out, turnaround isn’t a constraint either way.

Can I get matching RSVP cards, details cards, and menus printed from Canva designs?

Through Officeworks or Canva Print, each piece is treated as a separate order with no coordination across stock or finish. Through a specialty printer like Paperlust, you can submit the full Canva-designed suite and have everything printed on matched stock with consistent finishing, one project, one proof round, one delivery.

Is it worth upgrading from Canva + Officeworks if I love my design?

The design isn’t the question, you can take the same Canva PDF to specialty print. The question is whether the print method and stock match what you want guests to feel. If your design would benefit from letterpress depth, foil shimmer, a die-cut shape, or a coloured cotton stock, the upgrade earns its cost. If the design is photographic or gradient-heavy and the wedding is relaxed, digital print is fine.

The Bottom Line

Canva is a great place to design a wedding invitation. The Canva + Officeworks pipeline is a perfectly good place to print one, if what you’ve designed is digital-flat by intention. If you’ve designed something you wanted to feel premium (the texture, the foil, the impression, the shape, the stock) the print method has to match the design ambition.

The good news: it’s the same Canva PDF either way. You decide where to send it.

Christmas is more than a festive season, it’s a moment to pause, reconnect, and show the people in our lives how much they mean to us. Whether it’s a handwritten note, a small keepsake, or a beautifully curated gift hamper, giving presents is a meaningful way to express appreciation. With the right Christmas gift ideas, you can make the season feel warmer, more personal, and truly memorable.

Why Christmas Gifts Matter

Gift-giving has always played a special role in Christmas traditions. It’s not just about the item itself, it’s about the message behind it. A thoughtful gift can:

  • Strengthen relationships
  • Show gratitude and appreciation
  • Celebrate shared memories
  • Bring joy and warmth to the receiver

Giving a gift shows that you’ve taken the time to think about someone’s interests, needs, and personality. This act becomes even more meaningful when paired with a handwritten message inside a Christmas card, letting you express warm wishes in your own words

Christmas Gift Ideas for Your Partner

Your partner deserves something thoughtful, something that reflects your relationship and the moments you’ve shared.

Christmas Gifts for Her

If you’re looking for meaningful Christmas gifts for her or gifts for a girlfriend at Christmas, focus on items that feel personal and indulgent:

  • Personalised jewellery with initials or a memorable date
  • A relaxing scented candle set
  • A keepsake box filled with handwritten notes
  • A curated skincare or spa kit
  • A photo book capturing your best memories together

A Christmas card with a heartfelt message makes the gift even more special.

Gift Ideas for the Wife Christmas

For your wife, choose something that shows appreciation for her love and support:

  • Massage or spa-day vouchers
  • Premium stationery
  • A luxury robe or sleepwear
  • Elegant accessories or a handbag
  • A personalised family photo print

A handwritten Christmas message can turn a simple gift into a treasured keepsake.

Christmas Gift Ideas for Couples

When choosing Christmas gift ideas for couples, think about presents that encourage quality time and shared experiences:

  • Christmas gift hampers filled with wine, cheese, or chocolates
  • A weekend getaway voucher
  • Matching home décor such as candles, mugs, or artworks

These gifts help couples create new memories together and pair it with photo christmas cards for more personal touch.

Christmas Gift Ideas for Parents

Christmas Gifts in Office: Ideas for Employees & Colleagues

The workplace is also a space where thoughtful gifting matters. If you’re preparing Christmas gifts in office, choose items that are professional, useful, and warm.

Gifts are only half the gesture when the team event still needs a date. The Christmas party invitations should go out around the same time as the gift order, so the two stay coordinated.

Taylor Swift (2006): The Debut Era

Taylor’s debut album is pure country romance: wide-eyed, sun-drenched, and full of hand-tied bouquets and porch-swing afternoons. For couples drawn to this era, the stationery should feel personal and unhurried rather than polished or high-production.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Ivory, pale blue, meadow green, soft yellow
  • Typographic register: Delicate serif or hand-drawn script; light weights; nothing too refined or corporate
  • Print method: Digital print on 300gsm matte or linen stock; this aesthetic doesn’t need foil to land
  • Paper weight: Standard matte is ideal; the warmth comes from the design, not the stock weight
  • Envelope treatment: Pale blue or sage green envelope; simple wildflower or botanical liner; twine or a pressed flower as the closure

Browse the full wedding invitation collection and filter by soft floral and script styles to find designs that match this early-era warmth.

Fearless (2008): Golden Romance

Fearless is Taylor’s most optimistic album: golden light, wide-open fields, the feeling that the best thing hasn’t happened yet. For couples inspired by this era, stationery should feel warm and sun-drenched rather than formal, champagne gold rather than mirror-bright.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Champagne gold, honey ivory, warm cream, soft blush
  • Typographic register: Classic romantic serif with curling flourishes; gold ink lettering; hopeful and light, not heavy
  • Print method: Flat foil in gold or pale gold on 380gsm premium or 300gsm matte stock; flat foil gives the mirror-bright warmth without the custom die cost of foil stamp
  • Paper weight: 380gsm premium is the right weight for an era that feels substantial and celebratory
  • Envelope treatment: Champagne envelope with a gold flat foil liner; or ivory envelope with a pressed-flower illustration liner

Browse foil wedding invitations and filter by gold and pale gold for the Fearless aesthetic.

Speak Now (2010): Enchanted Drama

Speak Now is theatrical in a way Fearless never quite is, deep purples, silver, a couture dress, a storybook ending that’s earned rather than assumed. Wedding stationery for this era should feel grand without being cold: velvet and candlelight, not nightclub glamour.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Violet, deep purple, charcoal, silver
  • Typographic register: Elegant display serif or dramatic script; theatrical capital letters; a hint of old-world ceremony
  • Print method: White ink on 300gsm violet or navy color stock; or digital print paired with a vellum wrap for a layered, candlelit effect
  • Paper weight: 300gsm color stock; heavy enough to feel special, color-saturated for the purple palette
  • Envelope treatment: Deep purple or navy envelope with a silver foil liner; wax seal in violet or pewter

Browse wedding invitation styles, filter by color stock and deep tones to find designs that match the Speak Now palette.

Red (2012)

Shop wedding invitationsAustralia  ·  United States  ·  United Kingdom  ·  Canada  ·  New Zealand

Red represents the intensity of love: passionate, emotional, and full of life. Deep reds, burgundy florals, and autumn palettes define this era’s aesthetic. Modern wedding invitations with strong color contrasts and confident typography suit this era best. The Array Invitations mirror that warmth and energy, making them perfect for couples who love a little drama and romance in equal measure.

Roses are red

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Deep crimson, burgundy, burnt sienna, autumn ivory
  • Typographic register: Bold modern serif with strong contrast; confidence over delicacy; nothing whimsical
  • Print method: Digital print on 300gsm matte or 290gsm kraft for texture; or flat foil in red on premium stock for added drama
  • Paper weight: 300gsm matte keeps it grounded; kraft adds warmth and rustic edge
  • Envelope treatment: Burgundy or rust-toned envelope; deep red liner; or kraft envelope for earthy autumn warmth

1989 (2014): Clean and Polished

1989 is Taylor’s pop reinvention: clean lines, architectural confidence, a palette of sky blue and crisp white. Where earlier eras told stories with decoration, this one lets the shapes speak. Wedding stationery for this era is pared-down and sharp, the kind of invitation that looks considered without trying to announce itself.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Sky blue, pale pink, crisp white, silver, navy
  • Typographic register: Clean modern sans-serif or architectural display type; no script, no flourish; let the layout do the work
  • Print method: Flat foil in silver on 380gsm premium stock; or digital print on metallic paper for a polished, no-fuss effect at a lower price point
  • Paper weight: 380gsm premium for the clean weight this era demands
  • Envelope treatment: Sky blue or white envelope; silver flat foil liner; clean and graphic, no botanical or illustration elements

Browse foil wedding invitations in silver and cool-toned finishes for the 1989 look.

Reputation (2017)

The Reputation era is dark, glamorous, and unapologetically confident. It’s perfect for couples who want to make a striking statement on their wedding day. Choose black and gold foil invitations or deep-toned paper with metallic finishes to echo this daring vibe. The Lovers Save the Date exude boldness and sophistication, perfect for a modern, moody celebration that feels both powerful and romantic.

The Lovers
Minimalist Luxe

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Jet black, bright white, gold or silver metallic; no mid-tones, no blending
  • Typographic register: Strong all-caps modern sans-serif or dramatic display; zero ornamentation; contrast is the design
  • Print method: Flat foil in gold or silver on 270gsm or 500gsm black color stock; or foil stamp on Wild Cotton for a debossed, pressed impression that adds tactile depth to the starkness
  • Paper weight: 500gsm color stock if you want the invitation to feel as heavy as the era’s attitude
  • Envelope treatment: Black envelope with gold or silver foil liner; sealed with black wax; your guests will know this is not a casual affair

Lover (2019)

Lover is a pastel dream of soft pinks, lilacs, and sky blues, a celebration of love and joy. This era suits weddings that feel whimsical, light, and full of affection. Our Vintage Stripe Invitations beautifully capture the sweetness and serenity of this beloved album.

Vintage Strip
Wildest Dream

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Bubblegum pink, lilac, sky blue, sunshine yellow; pastels throughout, no dark anchors
  • Typographic register: Romantic, slightly retro script; playful swash capitals; nothing stiff or formal
  • Print method: Digital print on blush stock (300gsm) or deeper color stock for saturated pastels; metallic print for a shimmer effect without the full foil price
  • Paper weight: Digital blush or color stock at 300gsm; the Lover aesthetic is about color saturation, not weight
  • Envelope treatment: Pastel lilac or pink envelope; heart-motif or color-block liner; butterfly or heart wax seal as the closure

Folklore (2020)

Introspective and poetic, Folklore brings a sense of quiet romance and natural beauty. Perfect for outdoor weddings, candlelit ceremonies, or intimate gatherings, this era favors nature-forward design: handwritten fonts, botanical sketches, muted tones that look like they belong in a forest clearing. The Potrey Invitations evoke that enchanting woodland atmosphere where every detail feels personal and heartfelt.

Potrey
Whimsical Winter

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Dusty sage, soft gray, warm oatmeal, moss; nothing bright, nothing synthetic
  • Typographic register: Understated serif or fine handwritten script; lowercase preferred; quiet elegance, not a statement piece
  • Print method: Letterpress on Wild Cotton 600gsm is the standout choice, the pressed impression in the thick cotton paper mirrors the era’s tactile intimacy in a way no other method can. Pair with a vellum wrap for an ethereal, layered effect.
  • Paper weight: Wild Cotton 600gsm double-thick for letterpress; the weight and texture are central to the aesthetic
  • Envelope treatment: Natural kraft or oatmeal linen envelope; simple botanical illustration liner or no liner at all; pressed dried flowers as the closure

Browse letterpress wedding invitations, Wild Cotton is the defining paper choice for a Folklore-inspired suite.

Evermore (2020): Autumnal Nostalgia

Evermore is Folklore‘s sister album but darker and more autumnal: chestnut, terracotta, golden maple, the quiet of an evening after the leaves have turned. Where Folklore is a summer afternoon in the woods, Evermore is what happens when the light gets lower and the stories get heavier. Wedding stationery for this era is warmer and more deliberate, the kind of invitation that makes you feel something before you’ve read the date.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Chestnut, terracotta, golden maple, deep forest green, burnt sienna
  • Typographic register: Old-style serif or typewriter-adjacent lettering; literary and deliberate; unhurried line-spacing
  • Print method: Letterpress on Wild Cotton 300gsm for a pressed, intimate feel; or metallic print on matte stock for an aged-gold effect with shorter lead time
  • Paper weight: Wild Cotton 300gsm letterpress; heavier than standard but not double-thick, the weight should feel considered, not theatrical
  • Envelope treatment: Deep forest green or rust-colored envelope; wax seal with a pressed-botanicals motif; no foil liner, this era earns its elegance through texture, not shine

Browse letterpress invitations and pair them with earthy color envelopes for an Evermore-inspired stationery suite.

Midnights (2022)

The Midnights era brought a deep, dreamy midnight blue palette, dark navy and rich teal backgrounds with silver or lavender foil lettering. It’s a natural fit for evening or winter weddings where the mood is intimate, candlelit, and slightly mysterious.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Deep navy, midnight blue, lavender, silver, pale celestial blue
  • Typographic register: Elegant italic serif or fine script; dreamlike and slightly formal; the aesthetic rewards restraint
  • Print method: Flat foil in silver or celestial blue on 270gsm or 500gsm navy color stock; or white ink on navy for a softer, more intimate read where the invitation glows rather than gleams
  • Paper weight: 500gsm color stock for maximum drama; 270gsm if you want a more understated weight
  • Envelope treatment: Navy envelope with silver flat foil liner; or dusty lavender envelope with silver foil details; a dark wax seal to close

If your wedding journey has felt like its own Eras Tour, a celebration of every chapter you have been through together, consider weaving multiple era touches across your suite. A Folklore-inspired invitation with a Lover color accent, or a Reputation-style envelope liner hiding a softer, more romantic Fearless invitation inside. The contrast can be intentional and meaningful. Browse the full wedding invitation collection to mix and match aesthetics that tell your own story.

The Tortured Poets Department (2024): Raw and Undecorated

The Tortured Poets Department is Taylor’s most stripped-back and confessional album: typewriter imagery, bone white pages, deliberate rawness. It rejects ornamentation entirely. For couples drawn to this era, the stationery challenge is doing less, and making that restraint feel like a considered choice rather than an incomplete one.

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Bone white, ash gray, dense black; the color palette of a typed manuscript left on a desk
  • Typographic register: Typewriter-style monospace or a bare, unadorned serif; deliberate imperfection is the aesthetic; avoid anything polished or scripted
  • Print method: Letterpress on Wild Cotton 300gsm, the physical impression pressed into the page mirrors the album’s raw vulnerability; the deboss becomes the only decoration
  • Paper weight: Wild Cotton 300gsm; natural and unbleached, the texture does the emotional work
  • Envelope treatment: Plain white or natural kraft envelope; no foil liner; guest addresses written by hand rather than printed labels; plain wax or no seal at all

Browse letterpress wedding invitations on natural cotton stock for stationery that makes restraint feel like a deliberate statement.

The Life of a Showgirl (2025)

Taylor’s latest era, The Life of a Showgirl, is vibrant, glamorous, and made for the big stage. For a wedding inspired by this album, think metallics, burnt orange and mint color palettes, high-shine finishes, and a touch of glitz. Invitations printed on orange stock with mirror foil and bold typography reflect the spotlight-ready aesthetic of this era. Our Solis Invitations capture those vibrant, glamorous vibes, perfect for a modern wedding.

Solis
Calendula

Stationery specs

  • Palette: Burnt orange, mint green, hot pink; vibrant and theatrical; mirror-bright metallics as accents throughout
  • Typographic register: Bold art-deco or high-fashion display type; maximalist and unapologetically loud; this is not the era for understatement
  • Print method: Color stock with flat foil, real foil on European-sourced color card in orange or mint; the mirror-bright foil against vivid stock is the stage-ready effect this era demands
  • Paper weight: 500gsm color stock if you want the invitation to carry the same weight as the performance
  • Envelope treatment: Bright-colored envelope to match the invitation stock; foil-lined for the full theatrical reveal when guests open it

Bring Your Era to Life

Whether you’re inspired by the soft glow of Lover or the confident edge of Reputation, your Taylor Swift wedding invitations can set the tone for your dream celebration. With Paperlust’s wide range of exclusive designs, all customizable and printed on luxe paper, it’s never been easier to turn your favorite Taylor Swift album into your wedding era.

How to Choose Your Taylor Swift Era Theme

Not sure which era fits your wedding? Here’s a simple way to think about it.

Start with your venue and time of year. An autumn vineyard wedding naturally gravitates toward the Red era’s warmth. A forest or mountain ceremony feels unmistakably Folklore. A city rooftop or modern loft suits Reputation’s stark glamour. A sunlit garden in June is pure Fearless or Lover energy.

Then think about your personality as a couple. Are you maximalist or minimalist? Romantic or ironic? Bold or understated? Taylor’s catalog contains multitudes, and so do her invitation equivalents. The right era is the one that feels most authentically yours, not the album you happened to be listening to when you got engaged.

Finally, consider your partner’s aesthetic input. A Taylor Swift-themed wedding works best when both partners feel genuinely represented by the era you choose. If one of you loves Folklore’s muted elegance and the other loves Lover’s maximalist pink, there are designs that split the difference, soft romantic florals with a hint of color, or neutral palettes with bold typographic details.

Era-Inspired Wording Ideas

The right lyric or lyric-adjacent phrase can set the tone for your entire invitation. Here are some starting points inspired by each era, adapt freely to match your own personalities.

Red era: “Long story short, we fell in love” works as a caption or insert card tagline. For the invitation header, a simple bold serif statement in deep red or burgundy says everything.

Reputation era: “I’ve got a blank space, and I wrote your name on it” as a personal note to guests. For the formal wording, stark contrast, white text on black, or black on ivory, with no decorative flourish.

Lover era: “My heart was yours” or “And I would marry you a hundred times” as a quote on a separate insert card or envelope liner. The invitation itself can be soft and floral with the romantic wording inside.

Folklore/Evermore: A simple, literary phrase from the album that means something personal to you. These eras favor quieter, more specific language, resist the urge to be flowery. Let the typography and texture do the emotional heavy lifting.

Note: Avoid copying specific lyrics verbatim on commercial printed materials without licensing consideration. Paraphrase freely, use the aesthetic language of each era, or include lyrics as personal handwritten notes rather than printed text.

Completing the Era Suite

A truly immersive Taylor Swift era wedding experience goes beyond the invitation card. Here’s how to carry the theme through your full stationery suite.

Save the dates: The first piece your guests receive should hint at the era without giving everything away. A subtle color palette and typeface choice sets the tone 6 to 8 months out. Browse save the dates from $1 per card.

RSVP cards: Match the typographic style of your invitation era. A Reputation couple might choose stark black-and-white cards with a foil detail; a Folklore couple might prefer a simple letterpress card on natural cotton. Browse RSVP cards to complete the suite across all print methods.

Wedding menus: For a seated reception, a printed menu is the stationery piece your guests read at the table. Match your era’s palette and typeface. Browse wedding menus styled from Lover pastels to Reputation black-and-gold.

Place cards: Small but noticed. A Folklore wedding might use a simple letterpress place card on natural cotton; a Showgirl wedding might use a bright color stock card with a foil-printed name. Browse wedding place cards across all print methods and stocks.

Welcome signs and table numbers: Match the typographic style of your invitations. Folklore couples might lean into hand-lettered signage; Reputation couples will want sharp, high-contrast printed signs.

Custom envelope seals: A small monogram or era-specific design element as a wax seal or printed sticker closure is the kind of detail devoted Swifties will notice. Custom round stickers from Paperlust Print Shop are a perfect finishing touch, affordable, quick to produce, and highly customizable. Wedding invitations start from $2.04 per card across all eras and print methods.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Taylor Swift era wedding invitation?

A Taylor Swift era wedding invitation is a design inspired by the aesthetic, color palette, and mood of one of Taylor Swift’s album eras, Red, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, The Tortured Poets Department, or The Life of a Showgirl. Each era has a distinct visual identity that translates into wedding stationery design choices including color, typography, print method, and overall theme.

Which Taylor Swift era is best for a wedding invitation?

It depends on your wedding aesthetic. Folklore and Evermore suit minimalist, romantic forest or outdoor weddings. Lover fits bright, floral, or maximalist celebrations. Reputation works for glamorous or evening weddings. Red suits autumn weddings with warm tones. Fearless and Speak Now align with golden, romantic, or countryside themes. Midnights is ideal for winter or evening weddings with deep navy and silver.

Can I use Taylor Swift lyrics on my wedding invitations?

Using specific lyrics verbatim on printed materials can raise copyright questions for commercial printing. It’s generally fine for personal use. To be safe, paraphrase the lyric in your own words, use it as a personal handwritten note, or focus on the era’s aesthetic rather than specific text.

How do I get a Taylor Swift themed invitation designed?

Paperlust has designs across many aesthetics that match Taylor Swift eras, from dark and dramatic Reputation-style invitations to soft floral Folklore designs. Browse the wedding invitation collection and filter by color and style, or use the custom design service to create something era-specific from scratch.

What print method suits a Folklore-inspired wedding invitation?

Letterpress on Wild Cotton 600gsm is the ideal match for a Folklore-inspired invitation. The physical impression pressed into the thick cotton paper mirrors the album’s tactile, intimate quality. For Evermore and The Tortured Poets Department, Wild Cotton 300gsm letterpress works equally well.

Does Paperlust offer matching save the dates and RSVP cards for a Taylor Swift theme?

Yes. Paperlust offers matching suites across invitations, save the dates, RSVP cards, menus, and place cards. You can match the color palette, typeface, and print method across each piece to create a cohesive era-themed suite from the first mailing through to the reception table.

Every event requires meticulous planning to ensure it’s truly unforgettable, especially weddings. Attention to detail is key in making everything run smoothly, from selecting the perfect venue to ensuring the wedding is a success. That’s where an event planner steps in, guiding the process from start to finish.

Meet Amie Laiyton, the founder of EventsWithAmie,a wedding planning business established in September 2023. With over a decade of experience in hospitality and events, Amie has gained invaluable insights into event management, allowing her to cater to various event styles and client preferences.

Standing Out in a Competitive Industry

Event planning is a highly competitive industry, and every client wants their event to be flawless, reflecting their unique vision and style to impress their guests. Amie understands this and distinguishes her business by tailoring her services to each client’s specific needs. Her extensive experience and ability to provide bespoke packages set her apart from others in the field. She takes the time to understand each client’s vision, creating a planning experience that perfectly aligns with their desires.

“All styles of events, scales large and small, and the unique understanding that different clients, styles of events, and vendors need and operate differently. This is why I cater in bespoke packages,” Amie emphasises.

What further sets Amie apart from her competitors is her dedication to building strong relationships with her clients. She’s committed to helping couples achieve their dream weddings, acting as a supportive, stress-free partner throughout the process.

Strategies for Success

In her first 12 months of running the business, Amie identified three core strategies that have played a crucial role in her success.

  1. Networking is essential for growth in the event planning industry, as planners act as the middleman between all the parties involved in making the event successful. Attending industry events, connecting with vendors, and nurturing professional relationships are key networking strategies that Amie embraces.
  1. Learning from mistakes is another important growth strategy for Amie. Every experience, whether testing marketing tactics, trying new things, or gaining insights from podcasts, is an opportunity to learn and improve. For Amie, continual learning is vital for personal and business growth.
  1. Balancing business and personal life is always challenging, but Amie believes in maintaining positivity, no matter the situation. With her optimism and strong support network, she’s able to navigate difficult times while staying on track.

Starting a business from scratch is no small feat, and Amie understands she doesn’t have all the answers. She believes the best approach is to stay humble and open to learning, especially through networking.

“I signed up for every free business seminar I could find, including some super expensive paid ones. This flowed on into the networking, which some turned into clients.” she said.

Delivering Quality Results

At the core of Amie’s success is her commitment to understanding each client’s unique needs and expectations. Her extensive planning process ensures she grasps their vision fully. With her experience, she recognises that every client faces distinct challenges, so she tailors her services to meet those specific needs.

“ Every client has a different “stress factor”. For some, it’s money. For some, it’s time. For some, it’s the overwhelming feeling of not knowing where to begin – or a combination of a few. By understanding this, I can best cater the package and process to the client or couple based on how involved and the parts they want to be involved in”.

Her dedication to hard work, excellent service delivery, and clear communication have satisfied her clients. Her efforts to grow both herself and her business are paying off, with more positive feedback coming in from happy clients.

Here’s what one of her clients, Jordyn Lucas, had to say:

“I’m so grateful to have had Amie as my planner for my birthday. She is amazing at what she does and is extremely detail-oriented, efficient, organised, and 10 steps ahead. There’s no such thing as a failure with Amie, and she always has plans B, C and D ready to go just in case. Highly recommend, she’s a dream to have by your side “ Jordyn Lucas

Challenges

Amie encountered many challenges when she started her event planning business, with the biggest being that she launched entirely on her own, without any support. Despite these obstacles, Amie has grown stronger with every challenge, driven by her passion and determination. She understands that every business faces its fair share of hurdles, but she believes what truly matters is how you handle them and emerge on the other side. For Amie, it’s not just about overcoming challenges; it’s about learning, adapting, and becoming better each time.

Partnering with Paperlust

Amie’s partnership with Paperlust evolved naturally after they connected on Instagram, which led to several collaborations. Some of her clients have even placed orders through Paperlust, and since then, Amie and Paperlust have continued working on multiple projects together.

The support Paperlust offers goes beyond just providing top-quality wedding stationery. Their services, which include discounts, a deep understanding of client needs, and quick turnaround times, have significantly enhanced Amie’s event planning business.

“Discounts and consideration to my clients are things they have always loved. Fast response time and fair pricing make it easier for me to do my job and turn around time and quality.” Said Amie

Amie’s Advice For Success

After successfully running her event planning business for a year and overcoming various challenges, Amie believes networking and strong communication with vendors and clients are essential for business growth.

Your network is everything. There’s nothing more powerful than your network of those who believe in you and advocate for you. They are 24/7 walking billboards, so build your network of those who will refer you. Remember to act like the person you want to be in 10 years, not who you are right now. By doing this, you’ll get there faster.

Amie’s journey highlights the importance of networking for growth and having a clear vision for the future. Alongside this, learning from mistakes and maintaining a positive mindset are key to continuous improvement.

Printing Your Invitations

With your design ready, it’s time to bring it to life through printing. You can choose from several options: a print shop, a copy shop, or printing at home. Each of these has its pros and cons when printing the invitations. See below for the details:

Print at Home

Pros:

  • Cost-effective option to save your budget with your own printer and paper.
  • Print at your own pace and time.
  • Have control of the printing process and can make quick adjustments or updates.

Cons:

  • Limited material options for paper and print types, which can affect the print result.
  • The quality is far different from that of a professional print shop.
  • It’s very time-consuming to handle the printing process while arranging a wedding, which is already complicated!

Copy Shop

Pros:

  • Printing the invitations at a copy shop can be cost-effective if you have a limited budget.
  • Fast turnaround time.

Cons:

  • The staff isn’t as knowledgeable as print shop professionals, so if you have any issues with paper, print types, etc., they are less able to help you.
  • Fewer options for paper, print types, and other custom finishes such as die cuts.
  • The quality is far different from that of a print shop.

Print Shop

Pros:

  • Print shops use high-quality materials, ensuring perfect results.
  • Extensive options for customization, from paper and print types to custom die cuts, etc.
  • Expert staff to help you get the best invitations.
  • Print shops will send you a design proof before proceeding to production to ensure the best result.

Cons:

  • The price is expensive, but the quality is unquestionable.
  • The turnaround time takes longer.
  • Limited control over the printing process compared to printing at home.

Choosing the Right Paper Stock for Your Templett Design

One of the biggest advantages of printing your Templett design through a professional service like Paperlust is access to premium paper stocks that home printers simply can’t handle. Here’s how to choose the right stock for your design.

Digital print on smooth matte: The most affordable option and ideal for designs with fine detail, photography, or gradients. Smooth matte stock produces crisp, clean results with accurate color reproduction – perfect for Templett designs that rely on intricate florals or watercolor effects.

Textured stock: For a premium feel without the premium price of letterpress, a lightly textured stock adds tactile quality to any design. Works especially well with script-heavy Templett templates.

Kraft paper: If your Templett design has earthy, rustic tones – terracotta, warm green, or brown – printing on kraft paper creates a cohesive, natural look. Note that light colors and white text will print differently on kraft, so preview your design carefully.

Cotton and specialty stocks: For couples who want something truly special, Paperlust can print your custom design on cotton paper or other premium stocks. Request a $5 sample pack to see how your colors translate before committing to your full print run. Explore the full range of wedding invitation paper options when uploading your Templett design.

Common File Preparation Mistakes to Avoid

Even with a perfectly designed Templett file, small prep mistakes can affect the final print. Here’s what to watch out for.

Forgetting the bleed: As mentioned above, always export with bleed enabled. Without bleed, your printed cards may have thin white borders around the edges. Even a 3mm bleed can make the difference between a professional result and a DIY-looking one.

Screen vs. print color: RGB colors look vibrant on screen but print differently than CMYK. Deep saturated blues and vibrant reds are particularly prone to shifting. If your design has specific brand or theme colors, request a proof before printing your full run. Paperlust’s designer proofs are delivered within 1 to 2 business days.

Resolution: Export your Templett file at 300 DPI minimum for print. Lower resolutions look fine on screen but will print with visible pixelation, especially on script text and fine-line details.

Font embedding: When exporting as PDF, ensure all fonts are embedded in the file. Missing fonts can cause text to reflow or display incorrectly. Templett’s PDF export handles this automatically, but it’s worth confirming if you’re making any adjustments outside the platform.

What Paperlust Does with Your Uploaded Design

When you upload your Templett file to Paperlust’s print-my-own-design service, here’s what happens behind the scenes.

First, a Paperlust team member reviews your file for print readiness – checking bleed, resolution, color mode, and any potential issues. If something needs attention, they’ll contact you before printing rather than proceeding with a suboptimal file. This pre-press review is included in the service.

A digital proof is then prepared and sent to you for approval, typically within 1 to 2 business days. Review it carefully – check for typos, confirm the margins look balanced, and verify that no important text is too close to the edge. Once you approve, your invitations go to press.

Two rounds of edits are included. If the proof reveals an issue with the file – a color that printed differently than expected, a margin that needs adjustment – the team can address it before the final run.

Completing Your Invitation Suite

Most Templett purchases include multiple templates – invitation card, RSVP card, information card, envelope liner, and sometimes save the dates. Printing the complete suite through a single provider ensures color consistency across every piece.

For extra finishing touches that make the whole suite feel cohesive, custom envelope seal stickers from Paperlust Print Shop – printed with your monogram, wedding date, or a design element from your Templett template – are an easy, affordable addition. They’re a small detail that guests notice. Wedding invitations start from $2.04 per card, and save the dates from $1 per card, making a complete printed suite achievable on most budgets. Browse the full collection of printed wedding invitations if you’d prefer a design that comes pre-built rather than template-based.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I print my Templett invitation at a print shop?
Yes – Paperlust’s print-my-own-design service accepts uploaded Templett files. Always export with bleed enabled and at 300 DPI minimum for best results.

What file format should I use?
PDF with bleed selected is the recommended export format. JPG works too – Templett includes bleed automatically. PDF preserves vector sharpness and embedded fonts better for complex layouts.

How do I get a proof before printing?
Upload to Paperlust’s print-my-own-design service and a digital proof is prepared within 1 to 2 business days. Two rounds of edits included. Production starts only after you approve.

Why do my colors look different when printed?
Screen colors use RGB mode; print uses CMYK. Deep blues, vibrant reds, and neons are most prone to shifting. Request a physical proof before your full run if color accuracy is critical.

In the wedding industry, every detail must be perfect. From the venue to the flowers, and especially the invitations, everything plays a crucial role in creating a memorable day. Every couple has their own vision for their wedding, and making that dream come true is the key. Let’s read Samantha’s story about her growing success in the wedding planning business.

Meet Samantha, the successful founder of Samantha Burke Events, a leading wedding organiser for the past seven years. Samantha has a rich background in Advertising, Marketing, and Event agencies as an Event Producer and Account Director. Her career journey is nothing short of inspiring.

“I had a great background in both event design and client management working across some of the world’s biggest global brands. I had worked mostly in FMCG with a focus on alcohol, so planning parties and fun events was a major part of my career! And I loved it! ,” Samantha explains.

Her extensive experience creating memorable events for high-profile clients laid the foundation for her business.

The transition from agency life to entrepreneurship was sparked by a personal milestone.

“I actually decided to move away from agency life around the time I was getting married and then thought – why not become my own boss and take all my experience from working in marketing agencies and start an agency with a focus on events – both corporate and weddings,” she recalls.

Standing Out in a Competitive Industry

The wedding events grew so big and fast that she decided to focus on weddings, helping couples plan their weddings and bring their visions to life. Today, Samantha Burke Events has worked with over 130 couples across Sydney, The Hunter Valley, Central Coast, and Southern Highlands.

In a market filled with talented wedding planners, Samantha Burke Events distinguishes itself through strong reviews, an impressive portfolio, and excellent relationships with top Sydney venues like the Opera House, MCA, and Grand Pacific Group.

She said the company always keeps up with trends, so the clients will love what they do. “Our style is classic and elevated with a modern twist. We play into trends and fashions but always ensure our work remains timeless,” Samantha notes.

When asked about the primary factors contributing to the company’s success, she emphasised exceptional customer service and a great portfolio.

“We have a really great portfolio and can share photos of lots of beautiful weddings, but if you look at our Google reviews, you’ll see that everyone always says what a pleasure it is to work with us.“

In the wedding industry, Samantha believes that having a can-do attitude, managing expectations, and paying attention to detail are the primary factors to success.

Strategies for Success

Samantha’s journey to success wasn’t meticulously planned from the start. “I was winging it like most people! I worked relentlessly, said yes to every job and opportunity, even working for free initially to gain experience and client reviews.” Said Samantha. Networking and building relationships within the industry were also crucial steps to leverage the business.

Her marketing background gave her an edge. “I taught myself basic SEO with help from a friend, spent time on social media, and worked diligently on my website. These efforts paid off as I ranked high on Google within six months and drove inquiries.”

In the early years, Samantha required a relentless work ethic and a willingness to seize every opportunity. Her proactive approach and marketing expertise allowed her to establish a strong online presence and attract a steady stream of clients.

Maintaining Good Delivering Result

Attention to detail and organisation are crucial to ensuring flawless execution. Samantha emphasises, “I make a lot of notes, stay very organised, and only work with the best vendors.” This meticulous approach has resulted in numerous successful events and satisfied clients.

One of Samantha Burke Events’ core principles is maintaining a high standard of service. By collaborating with top-tier vendors, Samantha ensures that every vision of her clients’ weddings is executed perfectly.

After all the hard work Samantha put in to ensure flawless delivery at her clients’ weddings, she received positive testimonials.

“We can’t recommend Sam highly enough! Right from the moment we met, we knew Sam completely got our vision and understood what we needed to bring all our wedding details together. Sam was enthusiastic, professional, punctual and able to answer all of our little questions.

The end result on the day was more than we had expected! Sam took our vision and made it 1000 times more fabulous. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about our wedding!” Said Jess and Damir, one of Samantha’s clients.

Challenges

Samantha faced significant challenges, including starting a family when the business was still young and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Wedding Planning, like most wedding jobs, is really full on and physical. It is not ideal to be moving furniture in a field on a 30-degree day when you’re seven months pregnant! So even though it was tough financially, I had to get help in the form of support staff” she shares.

She also made the difficult decision to hibernate the business for six months after her son was born, which was a risk but ultimately paid off as work picked up quickly upon her return.

COVID-19 presented another set of challenges. “The pandemic was a non-stop nightmare for the events world. We had to constantly pivot and adapt our plans.“

Starting a family required Samantha to hibernate the business for a while, but it was a good decision for her to experience being a new mom. Upon her return, she focused on delivering exceptional client results, which paid off. Similarly, the pandemic demanded unprecedented flexibility and adaptability. Samantha’s ability to navigate these challenges underscores her dedication.

Partnering with Paperlust

Samantha Burke Events has been partnering with Paperlust, and it began serendipitously. “A client chose one of Paperlust’s designs, and I was impressed with the service. The ease of ordering, excellent customer service, and superior print quality stood out,” Samantha recalls. “Paperlust is incredibly speedy compared to other companies, which is key in weddings.“

Since that initial project in 2020, Samantha Burke Events has collaborated on numerous custom projects with Paperlust, benefiting from their reliable service and high-quality products. Paperlust’s commitment to excellence and timely delivery has made it a valuable partner for Samantha Burke Events.

The Importance of Reliable Vendor

Partnering with Paperlust has helped Samantha Burke Events deliver perfect results for clients and contributed to growth, especially when it comes to having a supplier you can work with and rely on for many jobs.

“Having a reliable and easy-to-work-with partner is essential. Stationery plays a big role in wedding styling,” says Samantha.

A partner that is trusted and reliable for every job is what every business owner is looking for. Saving time and ensuring perfect delivery results benefit both the business and clients, especially when it comes to weddings where bringing every detail of the client’s vision to life and perfect execution is important.

Samantha’s Advice For Success

Samantha offers two pieces of advice that we can consider to grow a successful business:

First, be authentic: “Only do things that feel authentic. It’s easy to look at what other people are doing and try to jump on a bandwagon, but if it’s not right for you (and that’s a gut feeling), then don’t worry about it. Find your own thing.” said Samantha

Being authentic and having our own business values can help grow the business and differentiate it from competitors. Clients love something genuine and new!

Second, success is not judged by other people’s standards. When it comes to success and growth, it is not only about size and scale but also about who you want to work with.

“For me, growth and success from a business perspective isn’t about size and scale. It’s about being able to now pick and choose who I work with and only go for the weddings and the clients that I want to work on.  If I don’t think it’s a good fit I don’t do it. So don’t think you have to be bigger to be better.” Said Samantha

Samantha’s story provides valuable insights and inspiration in the wedding industry, where attention to detail, timelines, and having a trusted vendor are crucial. Whether you’re a wedding business owner, designer, or freelancer, Samantha Burke Events’ story demonstrates the potential for success with the right support and dedication.
