Wedding Invitations by Independent Designers
These printed wedding invitations are personalized online, checked by a designer, and shipped to your door. The designs come from independent designers. You pick a design from the grid above and edit the wording in your browser. Couples planning a wedding use these cards to invite guests to the ceremony and reception.
Luminous is a flat foil design on Paperlust Matte paper. It is a single-sided flat card measuring 7 x 5 inches (178mm x 127mm), priced at $3.82 per card at 100 cards. Premium White envelopes are included with it.
What These Wedding Invitations Cost
The table compares a named design for each print method, with the price per card at 100 cards. All five examples are 7 x 5 inches and printed single-sided; four are flat cards, and Arch Garden is die-cut to an arch shape. Prices follow the exchange rate, so the product page shows the current figure.
| Design | Print method | Size | Price per card at 100 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Modern Mode | Digital printing, photo design | 7 x 5 inches | $2.22 |
| Luminous | Flat foil | 7 x 5 inches | $3.82 |
| Alysian | Letterpress | 7 x 5 inches | $4.30 |
| Arch Garden | White ink, arch die-cut | 7 x 5 inches | $4.84 |
| Florescence | Foil stamp | 7 x 5 inches | $6.36 |
With every design, the price covers Premium White envelopes as well as the designer proof and its edits. Print method, paper, a printed back, quantity, envelope color and envelope liner all move the price, and the current figure appears on the product page as each option is chosen. Print Methods and Production Times
The print methods below differ in finish and in production time. They are digital printing, flat foil, white ink, letterpress and foil stamping. Every production time below is counted in working days from final proof approval.
- Digital printing lays full-color ink directly on the sheet. Modern Mode is the digital example, offered on Matte, Metallic, Luxe, Heavy or Matte Double T. The method takes 3 to 5 working days in production.
- Flat foil lays metallic foil flat without a die or an impression. Luminous uses flat foil on Matte, Luxe or Matte Double T, with foil colors in copper, gold and rose gold. Allow 7 to 10 working days for flat foil production.
- White ink is an opaque white ink printed on colored card. The Arch Garden design is available in Black, Forest Green, Navy, Grey, Harvest, Hunter Green and Chocolate card colors.
- Letterpress presses an inked plate into the paper, leaving an impression you can feel. The Alysian design is printed this way with two cotton paper options, Wild Cotton and Wild Cotton Double T. Production for letterpress runs 20 to 23 working days.
- Foil stamping presses a die with foil into the paper, giving shine with a pressed-in impression. The Florescence design is available in Wild Cotton and Wild Cotton Double T. Foil stamping requires 20 to 23 working days in production.

Each print method appears on a different Paperlust design, so you can compare finishes.
Design Your Own Invitation Online
Every template in the grid is a finished design, not a free download. The templates are personalized online when you replace the sample wording with your own names, date, venue, fonts and colors. You can change any of the wording lines. The editor runs online, updates the preview with each change, lets you undo an edit, and saves the design before you order. If you want to design wedding invitations with a picture, photo designs include a photo upload in the same editor.
- On the Paperlust website, pick a design in the grid above.
- Open the editor and personalize the wording, fonts and colors.
- Add a note for any special request the editor cannot make.
- Place the order so the designer can prepare your proof.
If a change is outside the editor, type it as a special request when you place the order. The designer then makes that change on the proof. For a completely different look, the custom design service creates a design from your own brief for a $100 fee on US orders, covering up to 3 pieces. This is the way to customize a card when the existing templates do not fit.
Photo Designs and Folded Options
A photo design in the wedding invitations collection gives you space for your own pictures, uploaded in the online editor and shown in the layout before you order. The photo designs include Modern Mode, a digital printing design on Matte paper, a bright white uncoated stock that suits photos. Modern Mode is a flat 7 x 5 inches card. The Together gatefold photo design prints on both sides, measures 178mm x 254mm flat, folds to 7 x 5 inches, and costs $2.78 per card at 100 cards. Photo designs include flat and folded formats.
Upload the original file from the camera or photographer, not a copy pulled from social media. At the proof stage, before any printing, a designer reviews the image quality. Text-only designs pair type and illustration with no photo, and Alysian is a simple, timeless text layout.
Card Size and Paper Choices
The standard flat layout is 7 x 5 inches (178mm x 127mm), offered in portrait or landscape orientation. Alysian opens in landscape. The types on offer include flat cards, folded cards such as gatefold and bifold, and die-cut shapes like arch, double arch, wave and rounded corner. A die-cut shape changes the outline, and a folded card adds panels.
Matte is a bright white uncoated sheet. Luxe has a silky-smooth finish. Heavy is a high white smooth coated matte stock. Metallic gives a subtle shine. Matte Double T joins two layers of card into one. Wild Cotton is a cotton paper with a slightly off white tone and soft texture, and Wild Cotton Double T is cotton at twice the thickness. White ink designs print on colored card. Papers vary per design, so each product lists its own.
Proof, Printing and Delivery
After you order, a free digital proof of your edited design arrives within 1 to 2 business days. The proof shows the wording and art as they will print. You can request unlimited edits to the proof. The production stage starts after final proof approval. The total wait adds proof, production and shipping as separate stages, so a quicker approval shortens the whole timeline.
Once you approve the final proof, the cards are printed in Melbourne before dispatch. You will not pay import duties or taxes when the parcel arrives; Paperlust prepays those for you. Shipping to US addresses is handled by DHL, with free shipping on orders of $350 and over and a flat $27.50 on smaller orders. In transit, delivery takes 2 to 4 business days after dispatch. The whole order goes to one address, and you mail the invitations to your guests.
Before you settle on a design, a sample pack can be ordered for about $4 to an address in the United States. Foil and letterpress samples sit alongside a range of papers, and the pack includes seven invitation samples plus one envelope. Every order is backed by the 100% Print Happiness Guarantee. If a print fault appears, Paperlust reprints the cards.
Real weddings
These three real weddings show how couples personalized a Paperlust design online, with pieces like wedding invitations, an information card, a belly band, or an RSVP card. They help you picture your own matching set for the day.
Justyna and Piotr: Wildest Dreams
Justyna and Piotr married in New York State, USA, in July 2024. Their Wildest Dreams suite is minimalist, with a small watercolor wildflower illustration and clean serif capitals. The photo shows the invitation, the matching information card, and a belly band printed with the couple's names in a wildflower pattern. The invitation names are in gold and read as flat foil, while the remaining invitation text is dark gray print. The information card and belly band are listed as digital printing.
Matching pieces
Lauren and Shiv: Botanical Geo
Lauren and Shiv married at Stanley Park Pavilion, Vancouver, Canada, in August 2024. Their Botanical Geo suite frames the text with hand painted watercolor eucalyptus leaves. The photo shows the invitation, styled with white and blush flowers on a copper tray. The invitation card points guests to an online RSVP on the wedding website. The visible invitation has no foil. Leaves are watercolor, and the script names and text are soft teal green. The catalog offers flat foil leaves and digital printing.
Matching pieces
Grace and Jack: Linear
Grace and Jack married in Hunter Valley, NSW, in April 2021, at Enzo Weddings, Ironbark Hill Vineyard. Their Linear suite pairs large handwritten style script names with clean sans serif details. The photo shows the invitation and the matching RSVP card, tied together with twine and a sprig of small dried white flowers. A spray of soft white dried grass lies beside them, and a bouquet of white flowers and eucalyptus leaves sits above them on a dark timber table. Both pieces are digital printing.

The Rest of the Suite and Wording
Paperlust does not use preset packages. Each piece in a suite is ordered and priced on its own, and the other pieces in a design's set are listed on its product. These invites can be paired with save the dates, RSVP cards and wedding thank you cards.
Before you edit, check the wording guide so a guest can find the couple's names, the venue, the date, the time, and the way to reply. The guide includes worded examples for those lines. The when-to-send guide lays out the full mailing timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
To work out how many wedding invitations to order, count households or mail-out groups, not individual guests. A couple or a family at one address needs one card. Take that number and round up to the next step of 10.
Modern Mode on Matte paper, printed single-sided in digital printing, is $1.62 per card at 200 cards, $2.22 per card at 100 cards, and $3.28 per card at 50 cards. Larger orders cost less per card.
Digital printing, flat foil and white ink start at 10 cards. Letterpress and foil stamp start at 50 cards. Quantities are sold in steps of 10, up to 300. At the 10 card minimum, Modern Mode on Matte digital printing costs $6.16 per card.
You cannot download or print these at home. Every order is printed by Paperlust and delivered. If you already have a finished print-ready PDF of your own, attach it through the quote request form and pricing and lead times are returned within 1 to 2 business days.
Digital printing and white ink can be produced in 1 to 2 business days, and flat foil in 3 to 5 working days. Flat foil is not available on Vellum paper when rushed. A rush carries an added fee. Letterpress and foil stamp cannot be rushed.
Premium White envelopes are part of each invitation design. Guest addressing is printed on the envelopes before dispatch and is chosen in the envelope step, where you can also add a return address. Other envelope colors and envelope liners cost extra.
A printed back is added in the online editor on designs that offer it. It is not offered on Vellum, and Alysian in letterpress does not offer a printed back. For comparison, Modern Mode on Matte at 100 cards costs $2.38 per card printed both sides and $2.22 per card single-sided.
For a print fault, Paperlust reprints before offering account credit or a refund. You have 30 days after dispatch to raise a claim. If a wording mistake slipped through a proof you approved, it is not covered. Paperlust will still help correct the wording and will split the cost of the reprint with you.
Yes. A swatch kit is available, and a custom sample lets you see your chosen design on your chosen paper before ordering. Letterpress and foil stamp designs do not offer a custom sample.
Give yourself 12 to 14 weeks before the wedding date to place the order, so there is room for samples, proof approval, production and shipping. Letterpress and foil stamping have the longest production windows, which is why that lead time matters most for those methods. Mail the invitations 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding.
