Wedding signs with your own wording
Personalised wedding signs are printed signs that carry your own wording on the wedding day. You can order welcome signs, direction signs, unplugged ceremony signs, bar signs and guest book signs. They are printed on Polyboard, acrylic, Ecoboard or fabric, and the material depends on the design. One sign is a complete order, so there is no minimum quantity on signs. The Wild Meadow welcome sign is printed digitally on Polyboard at A1, 841mm x 594mm, and it costs A$205 for one sign.
Wedding welcome signs at the entrance
A wedding welcome sign is placed at the entrance to the ceremony or the reception. It carries the couple's names and the date, usually with the heading 'Welcome to our wedding' above them, and the heading, names and date are edited online before printing.
Welcome signs here are made from Polyboard with digital print, Polyboard with vinyl foil, acrylic or fabric. Some welcome signs are arch shaped boards, while others are circle boards. Most welcome designs use A1, and A2 is the next size down.
The Harmony welcome sign is an arch shaped Polyboard board printed digitally at A1, 841mm x 594mm, and it costs A$205 for one sign. The Wildest Dreams welcome sign is the smaller board option, printed digitally on Polyboard at A2, 594mm x 420mm, and A$150 for one sign.
If you want wording examples and ideas for wedding signs, read the welcome sign wording guide.
Sign types for the ceremony and reception
Most designs in the range are welcome signs, and the other four types each appear in smaller numbers. The wedding signage covers both parts of the day. The ceremony signage is the unplugged ceremony sign and the direction sign, while the bar sign and the guest book sign act as the reception signs.
- A welcome sign greets guests at the entrance.
- A direction sign points guests to the ceremony, reception or parking.
- An unplugged ceremony sign asks guests to put phones away while the ceremony runs.
- A bar sign lists the drinks available at the bar.
- A guest book sign marks the guest book table so guests can find it.
Alongside these, Paperlust sells wedding seating charts, table numbers and wedding menus as their own ranges. Table numbers are printed as cards. Each seat can be marked with a small printed card carrying the guest's name, available in the wedding place cards range. The personalised book that guests write in at the reception is kept in its own range of wedding guest books.

Polyboard is a rigid 5mm board with a white, smooth surface and a light weight. Vinyl foil is a print option on Polyboard that applies metallic foil to parts of the design such as the names, and the Ink and Nib foil comes in gold or rose gold.
Acrylic is a 3mm cast polymer that is printed directly with UV ink. The Smoke acrylic design comes in frosted, clear or black.
Ecoboard is a 2.5mm fibre based display board used for the smaller signs in the range.
Fabric signs are printed in full colour on polyester, so a fabric banner is soft and made to hang. Eyelets add A$20 to the Byron welcome sign, so the total is A$220 with eyelets or A$200 without. The fabric wedding signs range shows the fabric designs.
Wedding sign sizes and shapes
Sign dimensions are listed as height by width in millimetres. The list below is the full set of sizes in the wedding signs range.
- A1 841mm x 594mm: Polyboard with digital print or vinyl foil, and acrylic, for welcome signs.
- A2 594mm x 420mm: Polyboard and acrylic, for welcome signs.
- A3 420mm x 297mm: Ecoboard, used for the unplugged ceremony sign and the guest book sign.

Board shapes include rectangle, arch and circle, and each design is made in the size shown on its product page. Check that product page before you order.
Stands, easels and hanging
Polyboard, acrylic and Ecoboard are rigid boards, so a sign made from them does not stand by itself. The sign is supplied without an easel or stand, which means the support is arranged with the venue or bought separately. Polyboard is light enough to transport easily.
Fabric signs hang from eyelets or a pocket, and you choose that finish when ordering. Arrange the hanging point with the venue, since the sign needs something to hang from. Fabric can be packed down for transport, while a rigid board keeps its size.
How your sign is ordered and printed
You start by personalising the wording on the chosen design. Open the product page, type over the heading, names and date, then place the order with that wording. The wording you type is what makes the sign custom to your wedding. After you order, a designer prepares a free digital proof. The first proof is sent within 1 to 2 business days after the order is placed, and you can request unlimited rounds of edits until the wording is right. The proof shows your exact wording, so read it before approval. Every order carries the 100% Print Happiness Guarantee for print faults.
After you approve the final proof, production starts, and the sign is printed in Melbourne. The production time depends on the material and print method you chose, with the materials table listing the working days for each option. Rush printing is available for Polyboard signs and is chosen at checkout. Delivery is free with StarTrack Premium within Australia. Allow the next business day in most cases for a metro address after dispatch, and more time for a regional or rural address.
Matching stationery and pre-wedding events
Some designs in the wedding signs range also appear in matching stationery. Wildest Dreams can be bought as a wedding invitation and as a sign, while Wild Meadow appears as a welcome sign, a seating chart and a bridal shower sign. That overlap lets you keep the same design across your wedding signage, wedding invitations and seating charts. For a matching suite, start with the wedding invitations range, where the Wildest Dreams invitation is sold. Bridal shower signs are a separate range for shower events.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most welcome designs use A1 at 841mm x 594mm. A2 is 594mm x 420mm, so A1 has twice the area of A2. Among the named welcome examples, Wild Meadow, Harmony and Ink and Nib are A1 signs, while Wildest Dreams and Smoke are A2. Garden Window uses the 600mm circle.
Material, size and print method change the price. A Polyboard digital A1 welcome sign such as Wild Meadow is A$205, while the Polyboard A1 vinyl foil option Ink and Nib is A$245. The foil application accounts for the difference. Every price is for one sign.
The first proof arrives 1 to 2 business days after ordering. After final proof approval, Polyboard digital print takes 5 to 7 working days, Polyboard vinyl foil takes 7 to 10, acrylic takes 10 to 15, and fabric or Ecoboard takes 3 to 5. Transit time then adds to those production windows.
Rush printing costs A$50 and takes 1 to 2 working days from proof approval. It applies to Polyboard signs with digital print or vinyl foil in A2, A1 and the 600mm and 800mm circles. It is not available on acrylic signs.
When you order a fabric sign, pick the hanging finish at the same time. Eyelets cost A$20, a pocket costs A$30, and no finishing is no charge. The edge can be overlocked for A$20 or left plain at no charge. The Byron fabric sign is A$200, or A$220 with the standard eyelet selection.
The 100% Print Happiness Guarantee covers print faults. Report the fault within 30 days of dispatch and a reprint is issued first, then a credit or refund. Text errors approved in the proof are not covered, so check names and spelling carefully before signing off.
Every wedding sign is printed on one side. Digital print means full colour printing, so the design and wording are printed in colour on the front face. The back remains unprinted across Polyboard, acrylic, Ecoboard and fabric.
