Seating chart printing
A printed wedding seating chart is the sign guests read at the reception entrance. It lists every guest beside their table, so they find their name and then go to the table. Paperlust prints seating charts as a rigid board, an acrylic or mirror acrylic panel, or a fabric panel. Couples order one when their guests are seated at assigned tables.
The Wild Meadow seating chart is printed digitally on Paperlust Polyboard at A1, 841mm x 594mm, and costs A$205 for one chart.

Paperlust Polyboard is a 5mm thick, lightweight rigid board with a white, smooth print surface. It needs an easel or similar support, which you arrange with the venue. Digital printing and vinyl foil are offered on Polyboard, with the foil adding metallic lettering.
Paperlust Acrylic is 3mm thick and printed directly onto the acrylic panel. Paperlust Mirror Acrylic is the version with a mirrored finish. If you want to see that look, browse the mirror seating chart options.
Paperlust Fabric is a 200gsm polyester panel that hangs softly. Choose the finishing when you order. Eyelets are preselected and add A$20 to the table price unless you change the finishing. A pocket adds A$30, and no finishing carries no charge. The edge can be left as cut, which carries no charge, or overlocked for A$20. Compare the fabric seating chart options.
Seating chart sizes
Each design is made in one size, and that size is shown on the design's product page. The three size options are:
- A1: 841mm high x 594mm wide, portrait
- A2: 594mm high x 420mm wide, portrait
- Fabric panel: 2000mm high x 650mm wide
Before you choose, weigh up four things: how long the guest list is, how long the longest names run, how many columns the layout will need, and how far away your guests will stand to read. The proof is where the designer confirms that those long names and table groups stay readable.
From guest list to printed chart
Your personalised seating plan starts with a Paperlust design. That design is the template: its look is set, and a Paperlust designer does the layout, type and name placement. It becomes a custom chart when your guest list and table assignments are placed into that layout, so you do not prepare a print file.
After ordering, give the designer the guest list with each guest's table assignment. Say whether the list runs alphabetically or by table, and flag hyphenated, double-barrelled and multi-word surnames so the designer can allow enough column width for them. Names are set exactly as supplied, and the designer does not check spelling against anything else. Check the list before you hand it over.
You can place an order before every table is final, and you can still update names and tables while the proof is in review. Your first proof appears in your Paperlust account within 1 to 2 business days of ordering, and it is free. Edit rounds are unlimited and free until you approve the final proof. Printing begins once you have approved it.
Alphabetical or by table layout
When you arrange the list alphabetically by surname, a guest needs only their own name to find their table. A by-table layout lists each table with its guests and suits a shorter list. You can also mix the two, using alphabetical blocks with the table shown beside each name.
Table numbers are quick to match to the table number cards on the tables. Table names feel more personal, but they must be clearly different from one another. Wedding place cards then guide each guest to their seat. A printed card listing the courses and dishes can be added to each setting from the wedding menu range.
Read the seating chart planning guide for who sits where, etiquette and wording.
Production time, rush and delivery
Paperlust prints every chart in Melbourne after you order online and dispatches it once printed. Production time is counted in working days from proof approval. The table in Materials and prices shows the standard window for each material.
A rush option costs A$50 per order and shortens production to 1 to 2 working days. It applies to Polyboard charts in A1 and A2 with digital print or vinyl foil. It is not available on acrylic or mirror acrylic, and it shortens production only. Delivery time is unchanged.
If you order a seating chart with other pieces, everything is dispatched together, and the longest production time in the order applies. A matching welcome sign can be added to the order, and Wild Meadow is sold as both a seating chart and a welcome sign in the wedding signs range. That same Wild Meadow design is also sold as part of the wedding invitations collection.
Once the order is dispatched, it usually reaches metro addresses on the next business day, while regional and rural addresses take longer. Delivery is free by StarTrack Premium. Every chart is covered by the 100% Print Happiness Guarantee.
Frequently Asked Questions
A seating chart, also called a seating plan or table plan, is the sign at the reception entrance that lists every guest beside their table. Guests read it first, then go to their table. Table numbers sit on the tables, and place cards mark each seat. The chart is the entrance list that points to both.
No. The design is the template, and a Paperlust designer sets the guest names and table assignments into the layout. You do not prepare a print file or place names yourself. You can order one chart, or up to five charts of the same design.
The right size depends on the length of your guest list, the longest names, the number of columns, and how far away guests stand. The fabric panel is the largest at 2000mm high x 650mm wide, alongside A1 at 841mm x 594mm and A2 at 594mm x 420mm. If names or table groups look cramped in the proof, ask the designer to adjust the column spacing or grouping.
Before you approve the proof, names and tables remain flexible and can be updated without charge. After approval, contact the Paperlust team straight away and tell them what changed. They will assess what is still possible, because print production may already be underway.
You do not have to wait for every table to be final before you order. During proofing, names and tables can still change. The first proof appears within 1 to 2 business days of ordering. Production time then starts after proof approval and varies by material. Delivery follows. If your date is tight, the rush option on A1 and A2 Polyboard charts shortens production but not delivery.
The price for one chart covers the designer setting out the guest list, the digital proof, unlimited edit rounds and delivery. Fabric finishing and the overlocked edge cost extra. Eyelets are preselected and add A$20 unless changed; a pocket adds A$30, and an overlocked edge adds A$20. Rush is A$50 per order on Polyboard A1 and A2 charts with digital print or vinyl foil.
The 100% Print Happiness Guarantee covers a print fault. When that happens, Paperlust reprints first, then offers account credit or a refund if you claim within 30 days of dispatch. A name error you approved in the proof is not covered, but the team will help fix it and share the reprint cost.
