the challenge

Wedding Signs — Guide, Gather & Celebrate

Create a cohesive family of wedding signs that helps guests navigate, gather and celebrate, while giving couples a visually consistent on-the-day stationery suite. Typography, layout, colour and clear information hierarchy should lead the design. Entries should adapt to Paperlust's approved sign templates and personalisation fields.

Choose an Editorial & Elegant or Playful Celebration direction. Illustration and photography are optional; standard typography, colour and layout are welcome.

Two signs, one visual story

Submit one coordinated design for each of these two required signs:

Welcome Sign (A1)
Portrait, 841mm H × 594mm W; standard format; one-sided digital printing on Polyboard.

Bar Sign or Bar Menu (A4)
Portrait, 297mm H × 210mm W; choose from rectangle, arch, or wave die-cut; one-sided digital printing on 2.5mm Ecoboard.

Optional additions
Directional Sign system, Order of Events, Seating Chart, Guest Book Sign, Cards & Gifts Sign, Reserved Sign, Table Numbers, Menu, Unplugged Ceremony Sign or other matching on-the-day pieces.

How to enter
  1. Download the Signs of Love designer kit for the instructions, A1 Welcome Sign and A4 Bar Sign templates, font references and the mood board.
  2. Submit a high-quality PNG for each required sign through the design challenge page. Keep the same typography, colours, graphic language and hierarchy across both pieces.
  3. Keep editable masters. Selected entrants will be asked for packaged Illustrator files, fonts, links and 300dpi JPEGs after voting and approval.

Technical notes
  • Both signs are one-sided digital print only. Work in CMYK with 10mm bleed on all sides. Extend edge-touching artwork through the bleed.
  • Use C60 M50 Y50 K100 for solid black. Keep important copy in the safe area and type legible from a distance; the supplied kit specifies a minimum 10pt size.
  • Use approved Paperlust fonts and separate customer-editable text from non-editable artwork.
  • Hide guideline and die-cut layers when exporting; submit each sign as a separate high-quality PNG, up to 2MB each.

How designs are considered

Paperlust will assess design quality, cohesion, legibility and information hierarchy, response to the brief, adaptability across products, technical readiness, originality and saleability.
