The Challenge

Black and white is a staple ’colour’ combo for a reason: it’s sleek, sophisticated and versatile. For this design challenge, create 1x save the date card, 1x main wedding invitation, and 1x RSVP card. Cards can be white on black or black on white, and may incorporate foil, white ink or letterpress print elements. Think about making a statement with script and brush fonts with sans serifs, and lots of negative space.

Challenge guidelines
- Work off templates found in the designer kit
- Design should include white ink, with optional digital print ink
- Save files as high quality JPEGs for submission

- Download the designer kit and follow it’s instructions
- Submit your designs through the design challenge page
- You will be notified when voting opens
- Support other creatives by voting on their designs
Judging Criteria:
The winners and runners up are a mixture of public voting and the Paperlust judging team. The top five public voted designs will be assessed by the Paperlust creative and design team on the criteria of design quality, response to brief, technical considerations and saleability.
The Winners receive:
- 1st place will receive 15% commission on every sale for an entire year and professional photography of their designs
- 2nd & 3rd places will receive 12% commission on every sale for an entire year
- Runner up designs (if selected) will be listed on Paperlust for sale as featured designs (receiving 8% commission on every sale)
