The Films card is a photo design with a baby photo framed by a thin border and the wording below. It is digitally printed single-sided on Paperlust Matte paper in a 178mm x 127mm portrait size. An order of 100 cards costs A$280 and includes premium white envelopes.

If you want to keep the order cheap, a larger quantity brings a lower price per card. Films digital printing is the worked example, with the smallest run set at 10 cards. Ten cards cost A$77.70, or A$7.77 each. Fifty cards cost A$207, or A$4.14 each, and 100 cards cost A$280, or A$2.80 each. Vintage Cameo has the lowest order total in the table at A$246 for 100 cards, so it is the cheapest choice among these birth announcements. The price on each product page updates with the paper and quantity chosen.
Photo Designs and Styles
Many baby announcements in this collection are photo cards. Both Modern Arrival and Jasmine use photos, but handle them differently. Modern Arrival is a landscape card. Its layout places a single photo across the left side, with the baby's name set inside a rust brown block, the birth details in peach, and the parents' names in script. Jasmine is a double arch die-cut card with an oval photo frame and yellow and white floral illustration with green leaves. Browse the photo designs to compare them. Some designs carry wording and illustration only, with no photo space.
The girl collection has designs for a baby girl, and the boy collection has designs for a baby boy. If you prefer a simple layout, there is a simple designs collection. For a modern look, Modern Arrival uses colour blocks of rust brown, tan, peach and pale sage green and suits families announcing a new arrival.
Wording and Personalising
Every announcement card is personalised online. You start from the design you have chosen and change the baby's name, birth details and parents' names, then adjust fonts, colours and all other wording. Photo designs have an upload space for a photo. Any special requests are entered with the order and applied by the designer at the proof.
The birth details that often appear on announcement cards include the following:

Proof, Printing and Paper
Every order includes a free digital proof from a designer. You can expect the first proof within 1 to 2 business days of placing your order. You can request more changes as many times as you need until the card reads exactly as you want. The proof is where you check the spelling of the baby's name, the birth date, time and weight before approving.
Your cards are printed in Melbourne once the final proof is approved. Digital printing is completed in 3 to 5 working days; flat foil is completed in 7 to 10 working days. The Vintage Cameo product page lists 5 to 7 working days as its exception.
Films can be ordered on these papers:
- Matte: a bright white uncoated paper made for photo cards
- Metallic: a paper with a soft shine
- Heavy: the thickest digital stock, with a smooth matt coating
- Matte Double T: two layers of card bonded together
Luxe is also offered. Not every paper is offered for every design, so check the options on each product page. Gold Polka is printed on Paperlust Heavy only.
Delivery, Samples and Guarantee
Your order ships with free StarTrack Premium delivery. After dispatch, metro addresses usually receive the parcel on the following business day. Regional and rural addresses take longer. Production time and delivery time are separate. The 100% Print Happiness Guarantee covers a print fault with a reprint.
Three sample options help you check finishes before you order. A custom sample costs A$15 and shows the design you choose printed on the paper you choose. It is offered on designs that list a single sample; Films offers it, but Gold Polka does not. For A$5, a sample pack includes a range of papers, one envelope, and seven invitation samples; foil and letterpress samples are part of the pack. A swatch kit costs A$20. Yes. A rush order adds A$50 to the price. Digital printing then takes 1 to 2 business days, and flat foil takes 3 to 5 working days. After that, allow for delivery time.
Each design in the grid works as a template: it is a finished design, not a blank file. You pick the design, personalise it online, approve the designer proof, and receive printed cards. A design here is not a free download.
Only photo designs take a photo. Use the file straight from your camera or photographer, not a copy taken from social media. Image quality is checked by the designer at the proof, before printing.
Yes. Envelope liners are an optional extra you can choose in the envelope step. Envelope addressing is priced per envelope, so the amount changes with the size of your list. It costs A$0.20 per envelope in black and white and A$0.35 per envelope in colour.
If a print fault appears, Paperlust will reprint the cards first. Should the problem remain, an account credit or refund is next. The fault must be reported within 30 days of dispatch. A wording mistake that was already visible in the proof you approved does not fall under the guarantee.
Films and Modern Arrival each come in portrait or landscape at 178mm x 127mm. Vintage Cameo is 140mm x 107mm in small portrait or small landscape. Gold Polka is square only at 147mm x 147mm. Each product page lists its sizes.
