Photo, names and wording
Hazel Nuzzle, Sweet Lullaby, Joy Baby Joy and A Sweet Thank You have photo space, while Miss Floweret keeps only pink watercolor flowers and a bold Thank You, with no photo space. You upload the original photo file, not a copy saved from social media, and replace the sample photo and sample wording with your own. You also edit the custom wording, your name, and your baby's name online. Each card is personalized before the designer proof.
Joy Baby Joy leaves two ruled lines blank under the printed Thank You, giving room for handwritten notes before you mail the card. Newborn Thank You Cards
The same designs work as baby thank you cards for gifts after the baby arrives. The Sweet Lullaby design can carry a sample wording that thanks guests for kind wishes and gifts celebrating the safe arrival of a little girl, and the sample wording is signed by both parents. You change the wording online for a boy or a girl and add your baby's name. Joy Baby Joy is built around a photo of the newborn, so it also works for the new baby's gifts. Paper and print finishes
Each design pairs a print finish with a paper stock.
- Digital printing gives a flat full-color print, used on Hazel Nuzzle and Miss Floweret, both on Paperlust Matte.
- Metallic printing uses metallic gold pigment in line with the color inks, giving a subtle shine softer than foil, as on Sweet Lullaby in gold on Paperlust Matte.
- Flat foil places a foil element without a custom die, leaving the card surface flat.
- Foil stamp uses a custom die, heat, and pressure to indent the paper, as on A Sweet Thank You, a column of gold foil dots on Paperlust Wild Cotton, smallest order 50 cards.
Matte is bright white and uncoated. For Hazel Nuzzle, 100 cards are $1.33 each on Matte and $1.94 each on Heavy or Luxe. Heavy is a thick digital stock with a smooth coated matte finish, Luxe is tactile and silky-smooth, and Wild Cotton is soft cotton stock that is slightly off white.
Proof and production
Your cards are printed in Melbourne after you approve the final proof. A designer sends a free digital proof within 1 to 2 business days after ordering. You can request unlimited rounds of edits, and production does not begin until you approve the final proof. Use the edit rounds to settle names and wording.
- Digital printing and metallic take 3 to 5 working days.

Proof, production, and transit are separate stages. Each is counted on its own.
Delivery, samples and the guarantee
After printing, DHL moves your cards to a US address in 2 to 4 business days, leaving them ready for you to write and mail to guests. Orders of $350 and over include free shipping, while orders under $350 pay a flat $27.50 shipping charge. Paperlust prepays import duties and taxes, and nothing is due at delivery.
A sample pack costs $4 and includes one envelope, foil samples, a range of papers, and seven wedding invitation samples. Keep the samples handy when you choose paper and foil for your order. For a print fault, the 100% Print Happiness Guarantee reprints the cards first.

If a print fault appears, Paperlust reprints your order. If that does not resolve it, you receive an account credit or a refund. You have 30 days from dispatch to make the claim, and wording mistakes from a proof you approved are not covered.
