Wedding menu cards for the reception
A wedding menu is a printed card placed at a reception setting or on each table, listing the courses and dishes being served. Couples order these menu cards one per guest, or one or two per table. The Linear menu is a digital print design on Paperlust Matte, single sided, at 210 x 107 mm. A quantity of 100 costs A$280, or A$2.80 per card.
Prices by print method
Price is set by design, print method, paper, quantity and whether the card is printed on one side or two. Each product in the grid shows its own price before you edit anything. The table below compares four wedding menu printing methods at the same size and quantity.
| Print method | Example design | Size | Quantity | Price | Production after proof approval |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Digital print | Linear | 210 x 107 mm | 100 | A$280 | 3 to 5 working days |
| Flat foil | Rose et Gris | 210 x 107 mm | 100 | A$481 | 7 to 10 working days |
| Letterpress | The Letters | 210 x 107 mm | 100 | A$542 | 20 to 23 working days |
| Foil stamp | Movie Theatre | 210 x 107 mm | 100 | A$802 | 20 to 23 working days |
Linear and Rose et Gris are on Paperlust Matte, while The Letters and Movie Theatre are on Paperlust Wild Cotton, all single sided. Linear also comes double sided, 100 cards for A$300, with the back open for your content.
Minimum orders are 10 cards for digital print and flat foil, and 50 cards for letterpress and foil stamp. Online orders move in increments of ten, up to a maximum of 300 cards. Some designs also offer white ink, which is white print on coloured card, or metallic print, priced on each product. All menu cards are printed in Melbourne.
Wedding menu size and dimensions
Each design carries its own size and shape, and both are listed on the product before you order. Across the range, the two rectangles below are the most common.
- 210 x 107 mm (8.2 x 4.2 inches): a tall rectangle, used by all four examples in the price table.
- 178 x 127 mm (7 x 5 inches): a standard rectangle. Arch and wave die-cut designs share this size.
- 200 x 107 mm: tall die-cut shapes, including tall arch, half arch and capsule.
- 145 x 145 mm: a round die-cut.
A design can also appear in several layouts. The Linear wedding menu, for example, is available as a 210 x 107 mm rectangle, a 178 x 127 mm arch and a 145 x 145 mm round.
Menu designs and templates
The wedding menu designs in the grid are all templates. The artwork, fonts and layout are set, and you swap the sample wording for your own names, date, courses and dishes. That is what makes the card personalised, turning the template into a custom wedding menu.
Choose among rectangle, arch, half arch, round, wave and capsule shapes, and a few designs fold.
Paperlust sells the designs as finished printed menu cards. Once the order is placed, your wording is laid into the design and a designer checks the spacing and alignment before the proof is sent. Ordinary wording and layout changes are included as part of proofing, while larger custom alterations or new illustrations are priced by the designer.
Linear is also sold as wedding invitations and as place cards, so the same artwork style carries across all three.
What a menu card lists
As an example of a usual layout, a wedding menu starts with the couple's names and ends with a dietary line. The labels, top to bottom, are:
- the couple's names
- the date
- Canapes
- Entree
- Main
- Dessert
- Drinks
- a line for dietary needs
For a set menu, one dish is listed under each course because every guest receives the same dish. An alternate drop puts two dishes under each course, served to alternating seats. With a shared menu, platters are placed on the table for guests to share and the card lists each shared dish. A buffet card lists what guests can serve themselves. When guests have picked a dish on the RSVP, the card for a choice menu shows the alternatives that were available for each course.
Add dietary labels only when the caterer has confirmed them. Drinks can be listed below the courses, or moved onto the second side of a double sided card. Some designs, including Linear, also have a separate drinks menu layout. At the bar itself, a printed sign that lists the drinks available sits in the wedding signs range.
For full wording examples, see the wedding menu wording guide.
How many to order and guest names
One card per guest suits formal place settings and meals chosen before the day. One or two cards on a shared table work when guests read the menu together, and this reduces the number to order. For the single sided Linear menu in the price table above, 100 cards cost A$280 and 20 cards cost A$134.80, which is A$6.74 each. The price per card falls as the quantity rises. Add spares to the quantity when you order.
You can add guest names as an option on menu product pages at A$0.40 per card, with one guest's name on each card. With a guest name on it, a wedding menu can take the place of a separate place card, and the Sage menu layout is drawn that way with the guest name above the courses. For separate cards, browse wedding place cards. Add table numbers to mark the tables. For assigned tables, the entrance sign that lists each guest beside their table is available as a separate wedding seating chart product.
Ordering, proof and delivery
These are the steps from choosing a design to approving the proof.

- Place the order. The first proof from a designer arrives 1 to 2 business days after ordering, and the digital proof is free.

Production starts after final proof approval. Production times vary by print method and are shown in the price table above.
Delivery is free in Australia by StarTrack Premium. For metro addresses, delivery usually takes one business day from dispatch. Regional and rural addresses take longer.
Your printed wedding menus are protected by the 100% Print Happiness Guarantee, which covers print faults and means a faulty order is reprinted.

Wedding menus are ordered online on this page. Choose a design in the grid, edit the wording online, and a designer sends a proof before anything is printed. The cards are printed in Melbourne, then delivered to the address on your order.
The same designs work for engagement parties, birthdays and corporate dinners. You change the wording online to suit the event, so the layout and artwork stay intact while the names, date and dishes update.
Under the 100% Print Happiness Guarantee, a faulty order is reprinted first, then account credit or a refund is offered. Any claim for print faults must be made within 30 days of dispatch. Mistakes in the wording that were already in the proof when you approved it are not covered.
