This Sydney wedding showcased the best of the country, taking place on a private property in Savernake, NSW in a stunning shed at the top of a hill. It struck the perfect balance between peaceful countryside and forest wonderland.<\/p>\n

To tie in with the rustic composition of the wedding, Adelaide and Nathaniel had a small ceremony in Adelaide\u2019s parents\u2019 garden.<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

The proposal was a modern-day fairytale that took place at Nat\u2019s parents\u2019 property. The shed became a motif that followed right from the Sydney couples wedding invitations<\/a> through to the wedding day.<\/p>\n

\u201cNat proposed at our family property in the middle of a paddock under a big old gum tree from which he had hung glass bauble lanterns lit by candles. I thought I was walking over to a shed to help Nat retrieve something until I saw the beautiful tree lit up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

The newlywed couple chose something a little different for their invites. Instead of opting for the run-of-the-mill style in a digital print, they went a step further. Their invites were custom wedding invitations<\/a> featuring an image of the shed in which they would celebrate their special day. The shed graphic was repeated on their entire wedding set, stamped onto their wedding invite, rsvp cards<\/a> and place cards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

Their info cards<\/a> were in line with the theme, with a treasure map format that led to the shed named \u2018Wandong\u2019. They were specially crafted by talented Paperlust designer Amelia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe asked Amelia to include an illustration of a shed on the invites. We loved what she did! The illustration flowed through the invites and other stationary we had, including the map she prepared and the guest book we created\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

The couple loved Amelia\u2019s illustration so much that they designed personalised stubby holders for beer on the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also used it to create stubby holders given it was a warm day! Other than the main illustration the invites were simple and black and white so that it tied into everything we did!\u201d<\/p>\n

The farm-inspired wedding was photographed by talented Melbourne based Jakub and Zosia from Aparat Photography.<\/p>\n

The floral arrangements had a personal touch with each of the bridesmaids crafting their own bouquets, lapel flowers and table arrangements. Yarrawonga-based florist Floral Harvest designed Adelaide\u2019s bouquet, and the bespoke bouquet was a centrepiece to the special day.<\/p>\n

To match her beautiful bouquet, Adelaide chose a stunning lace ivory dress from Melbourne designer Suzanne Harward<\/a>. It was a stand-out amongst the greenery throughout the day.<\/p>\n

We love a little DIY, and Adelaide and Nathaniel were able to incorporate DIY throughout the day including the lighting, flower stumps, platters, even table numbers<\/a>!<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mum and I made gum garlands for the table over a bottle of wine the night before the wedding and Mum made our wedding cake!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018Savernake Social Pages\u2019 was Adelaide and Nat\u2019s version of a guest book. It was a fun touch that included a brief spiel about each of the guests to help everyone get to know each other. It was a great conversation starter and spoke to the intimate nature of the wedding.<\/p>\n

The shed turned reception venue created a rustic vibe, and added a point of difference from the common wedding marquee.<\/p>\n

While the shed used to house large farm machinery, Adelaide managed to provide an elegant contrast to the venue with different types of linen, gold votives and sprigs of green foliage.<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to create a setting that reflected and complimented the rural country landscape of the property in an elegant way, and we were so pleased with the result\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Adelaide<\/a><\/p>\n

The simple wedding menus<\/a> featured an array of Spanish, Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes with Pinchos Catering providing the delectable pintxos for the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile far from unique, the most special and important thing was to have all our family and friends in the one place that meant so much to us. We were so excited to have the whole wedding at one location where the celebrations began as soon as people arrived, there was no break or travelling between the ceremony and reception, and where there was no set home time.\u201d<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t think of a better way to celebrate a country-style wedding. Not one detail was spared in the proposal, the wedding invites or the breathtaking reception.<\/p>\n
